Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate cream cheese buttercream filling and crumb coat, cream cheese buttercream top coat (all of the green). Deer, turtle, and frog are all hand modeled MM fondant. The flowers and leaves on the tree are MM fondant cutouts from the wilton floral garland ejector set. The tree is a sheet of foam cut and stapled into a cone shape and the leaves individually placed.d Rocks are raisinettes and the pond is RI. My first paid cake! TFL!

fondant covered chocolate chip cake with fondant grass and bamboo (handpainted by my awesome husband). The cake was sitting in a box made by the FOB, so the cake is sitting slightly elevated above a water pond of river rocks and would eventually have floating orchids.

This is a cake I made for my brother's 50th B'day. My neice would not let me do the usual "over the hill" cake. Wanted cheery. My brother told her stories of growing up and going to a friend's cabin with a snake island. Don't laugh! my brother & his friend were actually thin boys. Cake is made of fondant & pond is made of gelatin. Caution!!! Fondant will melt when it comes in contact with fondant.

I made this cake for my nephew for his 1st birthday. His parnets are John Deer fans and requested a cake with a John Deere theme. I used figures from local farm store, fondant veggies, piping gel pond, and dirt is made from crushed oreos and piping gel. Cake was chocolate with cherry buttercream.

I made this cake for my friend's son. This is the Awesome White Chocolate Cake w/strawberry preserves (freshly made) by 'Caketome' (it's really awesome!). I used vanilla frosting (colored light blue) topped with piping gel (colored dark blue) for the water effect.
Thanks everyone for so many beautiful photos and ideas on Cake Central.

This was a fun cake! Used the wilton cake divider to make 10 blocks around the lower level. ELLA was in the "front" four blocks and the little Duckie candies were in the rest of them.

Some very funny looking little frogs - I used a store bought marzipan, and their heads just kept rolling back until I gave up! But it gives them a sickly kind of character :)

I was commissioned to make this cake for 7-year-old Josh's Oriental Fire-Bellied toad's 3rd birthday. I had three little boys helping me decorate. Not a bad job! This is made by stacking two 8" layers and then scooping out some of the cake to make room for blue Jell-O. Yikes! The Jell-O seeped down into the cake, which the kids loved, of course! The cake is covered in fondant. The frog and leaves are made of fondant. The brown stuff is homemade chocolate clay.

Cake for my mom who loves to work on her water garden! Fondant frog, lilly, lillypad and background cattail and leaves. "Rocks" are chocolate covered cranberries. I mixed 2 different color buttercreams for icing the cake to get a little "depth". I wanted it to be more swirly but oh well!
