This was supposed to be the bottom tier for my daughters fourth birthday until she got the stomach flu last night. So much for that. So I decided to make a bow for the top just for fun, and dropped it off for the church coffee and tea! At least someone got to enjoy it.

I used a 12" sq and stacked an 8" sq on it. I used satin ice fondant in white to cover each cake. I made this for a 5 year old girl's birthday, but it could be great for an adult too.

This cake was for a "pancake and pajama" birthday party. The dress on the top is supposed to be a nightgown with the little girl's initials. It's a yellow cake with buttercream icing and mmf accents. It was my first time to make and use mmf...it's not as hard as I thought it would be.

Sorry the buttercream isn't smoother!!

My first cake! Made in Wilton pan, not too topsy turvy. Added jumbo sprinkles for polka dots. Quick and easy to do.

Chocolate and white cakes with chocolate and white SMBC under chocolate Pentinice fondant. Fresh roses on top. The color variation in the fondant is a reflection from the mirrored table it was sitting on.

This is a 1/4 sheet done in all buttercream. It was for a 13th birthday with an 80s theme. She didn't know anything about the 80s and said as long as it was neon colors she didn't care! This is the final product.

I was a little worried about the color combination requested, but it turned out pretty good. It sure is eye catching sitting on my counter!

All buttercream except the circles. They are fondant. Still need to work on keeping the crumbs out of the icing. Can't seem to get the crumb coat right. But it was tasty anyway.

I did this in a hurry & although I measured, couldn't get the bodice all
the way down. This was paired with the matching hat cake for a
Fashion Merchandising graduate.

all white cake with raspberry filling, buttercream, fondant. I used the dowel system for the first time (as opposed to the hidden pillars) I wasn't happy with this cake at all. It didn't seem crisp and clean. How do you get fondant to not wrinkle all over a round cake???? Please give me some suggestions on how this could have looked better.

Dawn's buttercream (YUMO) with MMF accents. It was my first time working with fondant. I really enjoyed it. I was pressed for time so the cake didn't turn out as I had hope. We are our own worst critic though and everyone loved it.

Dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling iced in buttercream with fondant accents. Top layer was WASC with strawberry and buttercream filling and also iced in buttercream. Booties are molded from candy melts and pearlized with luster dust. Gumpaste bow and ribbon also pearlized! I was so excited by how it turned out - inspired by CC members!

This was actually a graduation cake, but since it doesn't really have a graduation theme, I put it here under pink cakes. It is a chocolate cake with raspberry mousse filling and a pink fondant bow.
