This was a 'replica' of the invitation to the lingerie shower. The entire top of the cake is a BCT. Lemon cake with lemon frosting filling, and buttercream on the outside.

I decorated this cake in about 45 minutes (I was in a hurry once again) for a silent auction at my church. I didn't go to the auction but rumor has it people loved it and fought over it. It was a sour cream yellow cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate cheese icing. The polka dots were done with the crusting cream cheese icing!

Wedding reception was held at a 50's style resturant. I posted my woes on this cake in the disaster section, but I thought I'd go ahead and add it to my photos.

This was for a bridal shower my sis-in-law was hosting. It's just periwinkle tinted fondant over buttercream with royal icing "buttons" and fondant bow and ball trim.

This was for a baby shower for twins (one boy and one girl). They saved the top presents and froze them for the babies first bday. Which just made me to excited. This was my first fondant cake. It is in Wilton Magazine, we just subsituted two instead of one on top.

my first time with fondant. the brown dot in the back is doubled up due to my lack of knowledge of exactly how fast vanilla dries and adheres the fondant. oh well....vanilla dries fast, lesson learned. cake is a sour lemon with fresh lemon filling and lemon cream cheese butter cream under the fondant. next time i'll try flavoring my fondant too.

A friend asked me to decorate a cake for a party for her mother and her uncle, so I used colors that I thought would be appropriate for a masculine or a feminine birthday cake.

Scratch chocolate cake, raspberry filling, and buttercream icing. The water is tinted piping gel. I made for my daughter's swim teacher. I've never made fondant people before and instead of the bathing suits looking like suits, they look more like life jackets! But i thought it was hilarious! So I kept it! I borrowed the idea from someone here on the site (thank you thank you). It isn't really hard, just doing things on such a small scale is tedious. The purple and white are the school's colors

I did this cake for a friend's daughter's 1st birthday...this is the 1st 2 tier cake I've made...did buttercream icing and fondant for the dots. Had a bit of trouble with the fondant coloring bleeding onto the cake--I don't know if this is usually a probelem when it's hot and humid?? Maybe I need a new recipe? Had anyone else had this problem?
Anyways, it was a fun experiment...it's only my 2nd cake I've made for someone outside of family, and my first time with fondant, so I was happy with the results.

Client provided invitation, so used those colors, but otherwise was left to create freely, they only requested chocolate cake with white frosting. Triple chocolate cake with ganache filling, BC icing, fondant accents, molded chocolate baby bottles and teddy bears. Fun to make for a first baby shower cake! (Only 3rd paid order, am loving this!!!) Thanks for looking!

This is my first attempt at using fondant. The cake is red velvet with cream cheese frosting and everything else is rolled fondant. I found it kind of difficult at first but think my next cake using fondant will be much improved.

This cake was made for a magazine pictorial. I hope they photograph it to hide the flaws ;o)

It's a 10 inch, 9 inch, two seven inch for the central chocolate covered tier and a 5 inch on top. All fondant, including the bow, dots and pearls.

I didn't care for the way this turned out. We were pretty rushed in class trying to get it done. I do like the colors pink, black and white though.
I didn't want to put the dots on the ribbon but one of my fellow students touched the ribbon with her finger that had food coloring on it. Since I didn't have time to redo the cake I just threw some dots on.
Working with fondant was fun and I think I will remake the gift box cake but spend more time on it.

Made for a birthday to match the invitations. Chocolate cake w/chocolate fudge filling; bc and chocolate icing. This was my first loop bow - I made it way too big, and also learned it would have been much easier to do the whole bow the same color! I ended up embellishing the top with bc to hide the flaws. Green ribbon was given to me by the customer to add to the bow. There is also a #12 made out of fondant on a wire to be stuck in the top later.

The more and more I do cakes I've realized that every single one seems to have some sort of dots on it. I guess it is becoming my signature. I did this one just for fun today. Hope you all like it. I felt the need to pick myself up after the awful Bratz cake I did last week.
