Made this one for my mom on her b'day (the one who has alzheimer's and destroy my previous cake, remember?). The cake was baked, filled and decorated the same day. Hence, when the cake settled the fondant started to sag.

This is a white cake filled with peanut butter oreo's and cream covered in butter cream. The girl is MMF with edible pearls on her sling back pumps and a sweet little ribbon (real) on her wrist. First time with my air brush, I cut out a stincil using the coach decal and air brushed it on. I'll need more practice. The cake is about 6 1/2 in. tall, 6 in. round. This was for my little sis' 25th B-day.

I baked this cake for my brother-in-law's 3rd wedding anniversary today. Also a trial cake as my piping techniques are still at infant stage. It's 2 heartshape chocolate sponge cakes & iced with buttercream with pitted dark cherries as toppings.

A close up of same.. This is our first paid order that has NOT come from a family or friend... yippeee! The request was for something pretty in pink, to match an hawaiin themed party with the birthday girl loving frangipani. Caramel mud cake with caramel ganache centre, covered in fondant with all gumpaste flowers and lettering.

Birthday cake for teachers' birthday. My first paid cake! It's 40 cupcakes, half yellow, half chocolate with buttercream icing. I charged $35.00...is that a good price? I'm still unsure about the whole pricing thing.

Snowflakes are hard, folks! They kept breaking and with every fix they started looking more like blobs than snowflakes. The cake is also covered with edible glitter on top and sides. Sorry the pic is so grainy...that's seems to be all my camera does these days.

I made this for a friend's baby shower - white cake with strawberry cream filling & cream cheese icing. I used the crusting recipe (great success in the past), but it was actually 80 degrees here in TX in December (believe it or not!!!), so it sagged just a tad. I enjoy the simplicity of it. Thanks for looking!

This was for my MIL. It only needed to serve 7 people, but I wanted to do something a little fancy for her. Bottom cake is a 6", center is a 4 1/2" bundt (hole was filled w/chocolate marshmallow frosting), and top was an inverted cupcake. The whole thing took one cake mix, and had extra cupcakes to boot! I will definitely be making more of these- it was so fun!

This cake was one of the most stressful endeavors I have undertaken in a long time! A close friend asked me to make her daughter's first birthday cake. A 12" chocolate cake with white chocolate icing. I've never made a 12" cake nor made white chocolate icing. Anything that could go wrong, did go wrong! But in the end my friend loved the cake and her guests raved about it. I have to send a quick thanks to blittle6 for her white chocolate crusting BC recipe!

This is my second stacked cake. 8 & 10" layers, iced in buttercream. Fondant strips, bow and curly Qs. Buttercream polka dots and squiggles inspired by Food Network episode featuring Colleen. This is my first bow - big thanks to CC memeber "DelightfulSweetBea" for step-by-step instructions.

These are cupcakes that go with the barbie cake. Vanilla cake with strawberry icing, strawberry cake with vanila icing. the crowns are chocolate they need more decoration on them but are too fragile to do it so this is how they will stay.

This was a last minute cake for a work mate, luckily I was in the middle of making cupcakes and had mix left over for this small 5 inch round tin... a quick throw together but she was happy. Lemon butter cake with buttercream frosting. Gumpaste rose and plaque leftover from a recent course.

This cake was one problem after another. Chocolate icing wouldn't smooth, fondant cracked, I couldn't get it level. It is for a good friend. I hope she likes it anyway.

Pink and brown have been the new black and white for a while now and still are. It's a personal favorite combination too, so couldn't resist...A modern twist to the conventional wedding cake. All decorations are made of fondant and blossoms are dusted with Orchid Pink Luster dust

This is the cake I made for my sister and had such trouble with. First time I used MMF and it cracked. Liked the design, but MMF a disaster.

I call this one a "leftover test cake" because we have an order coming up for a recipe we had not tried, so we needed to test it (not short of taste testers in our house) and we had loads of leftover buttercream in all sorts of colours from past cakes... best not to let them go to waste... hence the bad colour combinations...but the kids will eat and test all the same. Chocolate mud cake with buttercream
