This is this cake that I made I made for my wedding. Its fondant with gumpaste roses. I got my inspiration from bjfranco. Mine does'nt look near as good as hers, but I tried. Its not a very good picture, but theres pearl edible balls on the scroll work ends. This was my first time doing scroll work, so it does'nt look near as good as hers either. Thanks for looking.

Here is my 2nd wedding cake in 2 weeks. A 14" square, 12" round, 10" round and 6" square. Gumpaste flowers painted various shades of pink and then luster dust applied for a little sparkle. I also made 3 cheesecakes for the grooms cake - but forgot to take the picture! I'm not a fan of the brids topper at all - and I feel that it takes away from the cake. Please feel free to give me any suggestions - I need them to become a better decorator.

My niece wanted to help me with her birthday cake. For the slippers, I used the template found here on CC (thanks!). It was a wonderful experience to share with her. Even though, I can see many flaws, I will never forget the fun we had making this together!

something thrown together for grandma's birthday because the party plans changed from being at my house to a restaurant that wasn't too keen on us bringing a cake in so i needed to make something small and without all kinds of pieces that had to be removed for cutting.

The inspiration for my piece was Audrey Hepburn's dress from the film, My Fair Lady. I had the dummy cakes custom made to give the "dress" a form fitting effect, all lace work was done w/ impressions and hand cut. All overpiped w/ royal and decorated w/ fondant pearls. The bottom and middle tier were seperated w/ royal lacepoints. The bottom was draped w/ fondant, and decorated w/ fine piping work. So proud of my gumpaste roses! Bows made from fondant. The dome top was inspired by a photo posted by heavenlycakes (thanks Tara!) made from gumpaste (several attempts here!) My first entry in the OSSAS and came home with a bronze. I was so proud! Can't wait till next year!

Yellow cake with BC ....I made this for my boss and his wife as a suprise. I called Wife's mother to find out what their colors were at the wedding and went from there. The roses are not my handy work...I didn't have time so I purchased them

This was the cake I did this year for OSSAS. It was my second attempt to stringwork and thought I did a great job. I was very happy with the public reaction but was disappointed that I did not place. Maybe next year.

This is for a very dear friend of mine. She is retiring from school bus driving after 20 yrs & also has a B-day~ All the flowers are gumpaste... homemade by me! I'm very proud of them :-) I painted them w/ luster dust & pearl glaze. Cake is 8", 14", White Almond Sour Cream Cake (1st time baking it, it's incredible, thanks Denise!!), Raspberry Filling, & good ole' Buttercream Icing! My BCI was too thin for the bottom ruffles but other then that I think I did pretty good~ Thanks for looking!!

My third attempt at poured fondant petit fours! I am determined to keep doing these until I get them perfect, tough little buggers! These are dark chocolate enhanced with raspberry fill and ohhh so yummy! I though I would drop them of at the school's teacher's lounge tomorrow morning. They are just little yummy practice tidbits.

from her "Spectacular Cakes" book. Done for a fellow Master Gardener for her second wedding. Her daughter hosted the small ceremony and reception at her house and the cake was set up on the kitchen counter of all places!?! She had rented a silver cake stand though and I brought some tulle to dress up the area. 9" bottom tier of hummingbird cake with banana buttercream filling, 6" top of yellow cake with chocolate buttercream filling, fondant icing with royal icing piping and gumpaste pearls.
