The photo quality isn't great but the bride saw this cake in the Wilton book and said, "That's the one!" Her groomsmen wore brown and the bridesmaids wore pink, so it fit her theme perfectly! All BC.

This is a 8", 2-layer white cake with extender added. The frosting is all-crisco buttercream (yuck!) per the client's request. She wanted VERY sweet frosting that is all white. She wanted an old-fashioned, girly cake. I sure hope that she'll like it. I'm delivering it later tonight. I tasted the frosting....how do people like that? It tastes just like Crisco to me. Ewwww! I also really can't get the roses right. I really need lessons!

4" cakes made for my kid's teachers for Valentines day. Darn Good White Chocolate with BC. These little guys were not fun to frost but I got lots of practice on roses, which I never seem to do any more. Thanks for looking and Happy Valintines Day.

5 tier square with basketweave design. 100% buttercream with real rose petals. (I pulled the rose heads off and tucked those petals in one by one!) I've used this cake as the photo on my business card. I just LUV basketweave!!

This is a 12 inch Round FR Vanilla Cake frosted with Crusting BC and viva'd. The scrolled heart and Monarch Butterfly are a Single FBCT Image. I added some black cake sparkles to the Butterfly after transfer to give it some 'glitter'. I also added matching scrollwork to the side of the cake and the lady's name to incorporate all details together. Since it was really a Valentine Cake, I added the Fabric Bow among the Buttercream Roses... The customer loved it, she called and Raved! Thanks for Looking

After much reading and research I decided to give roses a try. I think that they look OK from the top, but from the side they remind me of pinecones!! Please tell me what I could have done better or differently so that my work improves! I didn't have any tylose to add to the fondant so I added some merangue powder instead. Next time I am going to use the tylose.

All buttercream icing, 12in and 8in. rounds. Bride just wanted red and dark pink roses on the cake, nothing fancy. She wasn't even putting a topper on it, and all the cake was to be served so I went with the 8in for the top tier

These are 3 of 4 cakes that I made for my students -- just because there were so many birthdays during a one month period. Many of them have never seen fondant or had a chance to taste it. MMF; 2 white almond sour cream and one yellow. No filling on these ones. Don't know if the light lavender shows up or not, but they turned out a really pretty shade.

I made this for my Grandmother in Law's 100th bday. I didn't feel comfortable trying to make a cake for 180 ppl yet so I made the centerpiece cake. It is iced in BC with edible pink pearls. I made the "100" out of fondant and painted with luster dust. My first time attempting scrolls and my first 3 tier cake. The cakes are 9" (five layers of cake), 6" (four layers) and 4" (four layers). I got a lot of inspiration and helpful advice from traci, customcaker, celticoak, Mac and helipops. Thanks again!

This was a white velvet butter cake with buttercream filling. The roses were made from fondant. It was my first attempt at writing on a cake...definitely my weakest area! Practice makes perfect, right?!?

Client wanted a two layer sheet cake with maroon and pink roses. The couples wedding colors. I didn't have anything to go by for the colors so was really hoping I was close to what they wanted, so I was very happy when I delivered it and they said they were almost a perfect match. The cake was white with a little orange extract and buttercream frosting. The client emailed me and told me everyone thought the cake was delicious. So I was very pleased. Thanks for looking

It is all satin ice fondant. I purchased the ribbon and the bride requested artificial flowers. I had some issues with the fondant... however I got them mostly worked out. Now I just have to transport it an hour away! yikes!:) Overall I am happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for looking:)

Cake is frosted and decorated in buttercream. The roses and cake sides are white buttercream sprayed with Wilton color spray and dusted with pearl luster dust for a shimmer.
