These were done for a friends daughter and were inspired by some great Minnie cakes and cupcakes I have seen here on CC. The cake is strawberry with a strawberry filling,buttercream and MMF. The cupcakes are vanilla and chocolate, buttercream icing and MMF decorations.

8 inch round on a 12 inch round covered in Michelle Foster's Fondant. The Ribbon and flowers were made to match the bridal shower decorations.

I used the Wilton Giant Cupcake pan, 2 9x9 square chocolate layers on the bottom, and chocolate and vanilla buttercream for icing, plus fondant. My first "professional" cake. This was for my daughter's 1st birthday, and it was part of the Janie and Jack Soda Fountain clothing line theme that we did, with lots of cupcake accents!

My friend wanted her daughter's 1st birthday to be pink and brown, then she wanted the cake to match her dress. Since this is only my 3rd "fancy" cake I was a bit nervous and actually ended up being an hour late with the cake. The cake is white, tinted pink with mini chocolate chips so it would be polka dotted. The frosting is buttercream, vanilla tinted pink for the layers and chocolate for the dots. The pattern was copied from the dress then transferred to the cake. The dots and border were covered in disco dust for sparkle. Of course a polka dot smash cake for the birthday girl. Everyone loved the cake despite the fact I was so dissapointed in it I didn't want to deliver it. All thoughts welcome.

I designed this cake based on the white and pink polka theme of the shower and on the mom-to-be's love of green and animal print. I also wanted to make sure it was "baby" enough. :) Hope you like it!

This is part of a party package that included 11 - 4" cakes for the kids to decorate. The mini cakes were also covered in hot pink fondant. This it the actual "Birthday" cake. I sent edible gems, royal icing flowers, fondant dots, and 3 colors of fondant with the order.
