This cake was for a bachlorette party. It was chocolate cake w/ ganache filling, buttercream icing and roses. The girl is using pink and brown colors for her wedding. They really loved it! It was even prettier in person. I don't the picture really did it justice.

Another Birthday Cake, this one for my mom. The scrollwork was a bit more difficult than I anticipated. I ended up freehanding it. Also learned that when you want dark brown icing, make chocolate bc...don't try to tint regular bc. However if you do, Hershey's chocolate syrup will darken it.

Made for DIL's baby shower this past weekend. The cakes are Lou's Cherry with chocolate icing the bottom is all vanilla. Fondant covered and accents except for carriage topper - chocolate transfer I retraced on the top side to add dimension and strength for the handle. This is the first time I've had a cake bulge - did that during transport - and the fondant on the top layer was giving me fits so it has folds that I couldn't get out...but she was thrilled - that's what matters most! TFL!!

I made this for my BFF's daughters 3rd birthday. It gave me a good excuse to try out the royal icing tiara tecnique. I think that it turned out pretty well for my first time. Chocolate cake with raspberry filling, chocolate frosting, royal icing decor with fondant bows.

My baking partner and I made this for a party our church threw for our pastor's wife's 40th birthday. We did not have enought time to duplicate the cupcake box/tower by antonio67 so we ended up using styrofoam and covering with pink satin. I put brown ribbon at the bottom. The cupcakes are chocolate and strawberry frosted with ganache and gumpaste flowers. The daisy flowers took me almost 3 hours! We made 10 dozen cupcakes and just 're-stocked' as the cupcakes were taken~

This was an unusual sized cake. Hard to tell from the picture 6in 5tall, 10in 8tall, 14in 10tall, 16in 3tall. The colors were Lt pink & brown with GP butterflies, GP Cherry Branches spilling out of top "box" & crystals were real. The toppper was acylic with crystals (better than silver plated as it will not tarnish). Lid was RCT covered in fondant. Real ribbns as trim, tier 3 was fondant ribbon with GP bow. See my pink & brown tennis shoe grooms cake that went with this!

I really hate doing mini cakes. This is my third time and I thought I would eventually begin to like it. But I just feel like a machine by the time its all said and done. Darn these folks who want them:)

Thank you to Jacquie's cakes for the beautiful cake and inspiration, I tried my best to do her cake justice and still have a few different little things here and there! My icing didn't want to work with me and I'm really unhappy with how bad it looks.. but they every cake I do is a new learning experience! THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Made this cake for fun. I used (loosely) a design from a gift bag I had laying around. This was my first successful attempt at making cake from scratch. I'm so excited how it came out!

Bridal Shower cake in the theme of "A Day In The Life" of the couple to be wed, featuring a clock, and cherry blossoms symbolizing time passing. I LOVE the design, but as you can see, I lack experience with the square cake!! :( It was super tricky getting those edges... but I could try again... :)

I made these cookies for a baby shower. The carriage is the same style that is on the invitations. The cookie cutter didn't arrive in time so I cut out each individual cookie. (I know, it's crazy.)

Yes! This cake is done....por fin!
First attempt at fondant draping of any kind. Pretty much did all the draping at the reception site, I was really nervous. I also used luster dust for the first time. Didn't really like it on this cake, I think it made the pink look wet.
