Buttercream with MMF accents and bow. Inspired by several CC cakes. The lady who ordered this only gave me this info to go on: "Something special, no flowers, nothing too girly, and she likes the color brown." I thought it fit the bill!

This was a cake my mother and I made for a woman's birthday who loves to travel! It was last minute so we weren't able to do all the details we wanted, but I still think it came out pretty great! TFL!

The bride brought the picture to me. She found it online somewhere. She planned her whole wedding around this cake. Is this a CCer's cake. If so, thanks for the inspiration.

This wedding cake was made for my daughter's art teacher. I got lots of inspiration from cakes on here. I was trying to make it similar to the one on Sex in the City (Charlotte's Wedding cake), made by confetticakes. I have uploaded a 2nd pic which shows the top in which I put their initials. Thanks for looking!!!

6 inch brownie cake, covered in white chocolate (coloured) and chocolate fondant, made as a thank you gift. First time trying out ribbon roses, which were fun, and I was pleased with the effect. Home made truffles. While I've seen a few of these cakes, the main two who inspired this particular one are Suzy40 and bonnscakeAZ. So thank you! They kept the cake an extra day to show it off!

This was my first time making and covering a cake in chocolate MMF. I found it more difficult to work with than regular MMF, but the look was beautiful and elegant!

I was not very happy with this cake. I wanted to upload it for pointers. I know
I needed to use a smaller tip for my lace and my icing had melted in the car. What else do you think? I like my layout , but there is just something I'm missing.

I made this cake for my baby shower. Crazy I know with everything else going on before the baby arrived, but I had so much fun making it. The fondant is all flavored, pink = strawberry, brown = chocolate hazlenut, ivory = amaretto. The bottom layer is chocolate with strawberry filling, the top layer is yellow with chocolate pudding filling. The sneakers are real, if I had time I would have totally attempted to make those out of fondant too. I found a great piece of fabric to use for the base.

This was for my sister's baby shower. Her color theme was pink and brown. This was my first attempt at MMF, I accidentally left the water out, by the time I realized it was too late and I had to use it anyway. Needless to say, the fondant was extremely hard to roll out and ended up being about 1/2 inch thick. People were pulling it off, but they all said the cake tasted great! I learned, no more experiments or first tries for anyone but family!

This was the cake that I mentioned in a previous thread about the birthday girl calling to order her own cake and the mom called and wanted something smaller. This is the smallest topsy turvy I have ever done - 4" and 8", covered in fondnt with a fondant/fixodent 16 on top. Both tiers are chocolate fudge cake.

All MMF. This is a pre-Rigsby photo. The dog took out that bottom cluster of roses soon after this picture was taken. Mom and I thought it looked a bit plain when we finished with it. It needs more roses and maybe another element. We just ran out of time...
