I made this for my sister's baby shower, I had such a hard time with the top cake fondant, I had to cover it 6 times (that is why is a bit off), I don't know if it is just me but I don't like to use the Wilton fondant, I did not have any Satin Ice left but at the end it turned out kind of cute, I was trying to match the invitation theme and with all the rush I left the top home :( TFL

2 tier brown and pink themed baby shower cake, with fondant roses and pearls. pastillage baby, chocolate/ white chocolate /pink colored chocolate polka dots, on chocolate crusting buttercream. (wont crust right if you try the viva method after defrosting from being frozen, i had to freeze top tier due to storage constraints, too much condensation during thaw-but i love the recipe for the chocolate BC) the cake was my scratch marble cake the vanilla part we colored pink. so, the inside was pink and brown cake with chocolate BC, chocolate ganache, and fresh cut strawberries! it was very yummy!!! :)

I made this cake for a friend's baby shower. It was made to match the invitations and room decor. I love the top of the cake but I'm not crazy about the sides. I wish I had a smaller flower cutter but the next smaller is tiny. Ah well, free cake and all! Beggars can't be choosers!

I used a chocolate mold for the cradle, you may find the mold at sugar (online store) craft. I used warm chocolate to glue the pieces together.
I have also used royal icing instead of chocolate and gum paste ( tylose recipe). When not using chocolate allow enough time for the cradle/bed to dry....up to 3 to 5 days.

My husband's best friend of 25 years and his wife recently had their first baby so I did the shower cake. The nursery is Classic Winnie the Pooh so I put a girly twist on it! Cakes are iced in buttercream with MMF decorations. Decorations on top are gumpaste. I got to use my airbrush for the first time! Pooh bears were cut out and hand-painted with gel colors.

The cake had the name of the child also on the top tier in gumpaste letters. The customer put the letters on at the shower.

I loved making this cake. I made several pairs of shoes in different styles and my daughter chose these to add to this cake. All fondant and gumpaste elements.

I saw a cake similar to this online and my cousin is having a girl so I thought Id try it. I did do the middle tier like drapery and Made the design for the pea pod on top much different and more complex than the one I saw online. The bottom tier is 3 - 12" made from scratch pumpkin spice, middle tier is 3 - 9 "Duncan Hines Decadent Triple Chocolate Fudge Cakes, and the top tier is made from scratch red velvet. Top and bottom tiers were covered in cream cheese buttercream and middle tier was covered in Duncan Hines Fudge frosting. All were then covered in fondant. Top and bottom tiers are MMF and middle tier is Fondarific Buttercream Chocolate Fondant. AMAZING stuff. Comments Appreciated!
