This was for a man's birthday who owns an online pet supply store. Initially she wanted a warehouse but I thought this design would be more attractive and she agreed. Some of the airbrushing and stuff could use improvement but as a whole I am ok with this. The customer is taking it quite a ways so hope it makes it!

I demonstrated how to make these during the 2007 San Diego County Fair this year, I had 1 hour. Most of these were made per request from children in the audience. If you can make a ball out of fondant, you can make these! I got these ideas from polymer clay books!

I got a order for this 1/2 sheet cake and they said that they wanted a garden and pigs on the cake and this is what I came up with. The pigs are made with buttercream icing, My FAVORITE part are the pigs on the front that are laying on their backs, made to look like they are playing and rolling in the mud

This is my first sculpted cake ever! He's made with red velvet cake and completely covered with 1 piece of fondant. I actually made this to enter into a BBQ competition that we attended and it took 10th place out of 15 teams. They didn't like the taste. :(

Thanks to Sugarshack for the inspiration on this one. I think I was making this cake from the same invites she did! Anyway.. fondant/gumpaste RI accents. I forgot to take a pic of the smash cake for the birthday girl which was a pile of hay with a rooster. Very cute. OH WELL.

These are out of the Wilton 2007 handbook. I made 6 of each critter for my baby's first birthday. There are cookies for the heads and feet. All BC. The rooster and chicken were just highlighted on last week's "Bake, Decorate, Celebrate!" They used chocolate rounds for the heads.

This was a barn cake for a little boy's 1st b-day. I baked 2 11x15 cakes and stacked and filled it. I also used a cake board and dowel rods for support. This was a chocolate cake, with MM hay stacks and fondant sign. This cake took a long time to put together and decorate. The invites for the party had pigs on them.

This is a vanilla sheet cake covered with buttercream icing. The barn is chocolate cake with BC filling and iced with BC as well, the roof is fondant. I made all of these animals from fondant, then painted the details on each. The ducks are sitting in a "pond of gel icing and bc" the chicken & rooster are in the garden. I used yellow wafers from wilton for the hay patches in front of the cow, horse, pig, sheep. The sheep was also covered with bc puffs. see if you can find the mice too?

This cake is half chocolate and half white (baked in the same pan - first time doing that...learned that trick on CC of course!). The mom wanted a girly cake with Wilbur and Charlotte on. MMF butterflies, everything else is BC. Dusted the letters with sparkle dust so they would be easier to read (hard to see in this photo, though!). Thanks for looking!

I saw so many cute luau pig cakes from other CC members I decided to do one for my daughters 2nd birthday party. Can't have a luau without some pork!
Body is 4 8" rounds and head is a 6" stacked and laid on side. I placed cake boards behind head and then after the next 2 layers, pushing a skewer through all layers and boards. Real apple, fondant nose, ears, tail, hoofs. To cut I pulled cake apart at the boards and cut normal. Hula baby is a doll in a rice krispie skirt (daughter is allergic to eggs).
