My first wedding cake done for a friend, free of charge, as a buisness kick-off. It took me about a week to make the icing, bake five cakes, which are 6", 8", 10", 12", and 14". It took me a whole day to bake those cakes. I learned my lesson that I shouldn't procrastinate about starting early. I would love to hear your suggestions and comments, they help improve my ability to make the perfect wedding cake. THANKS!!!!!

I made this for my Grandmother in Law's 100th bday. I didn't feel comfortable trying to make a cake for 180 ppl yet so I made the centerpiece cake. It is iced in BC with edible pink pearls. I made the "100" out of fondant and painted with luster dust. My first time attempting scrolls and my first 3 tier cake. The cakes are 9" (five layers of cake), 6" (four layers) and 4" (four layers). I got a lot of inspiration and helpful advice from traci, customcaker, celticoak, Mac and helipops. Thanks again!

For a little girl's third birthday. Client is putting a tiara on top. 10" and 6" WASC, all BC with Satin Ice fondant accents. I'm proud of this one; I feel like it's the best looking cake I've made yet. Thanks to all the ideas and tips from CC'ers!

Square cakes, set askew, with flowers cascading down the sides. There are edible pearls on 3 of the tiers as small accents. Tiers are white and chocolate, iced in all BC. This is similar to a number of other cakes I've done, but it's a very popular design with my brides. Photo credit goes to my 14-year old!

This is my first book cake and the first time I've used MMF fondant to cover a cake. I painted the picture on a piece of MMF with icing color gel thinned with vanilla vodka. I used luster dusted pearls as a border for the picture. The cake is lemon with lemon curd filling.

This is a wedding cake I did for a co-worker. They loved it. The top is carrot wit cream cheese filling. The second tier is chocolate with strawberry filling and the third tier is yellow with raspberry filling. I colored the flowers the colors in the wedding. It was a very heavy cake.

The little girl asked specifically for yellow, pink, and purple to be used as colors. Confetti cake b/c she thought it would look like sparkles inside. Buttercream dream icing. FBCT of Tinkerbell. Fondant decorations. Brushed w/ super pearl luster dust & cake sparkles sprinkled over it - can't tell in pic.

This style is becoming very poplar for me, I have done it 3 times in the space of 4 months. The colour of the roses on this cake were matched to the brides wedding dress. I mixed the colour using Sugar Flair colours, started off with white florist paste & used - Navy, violet & claret. Pearl decorations added the finishing touch. Couple were very pleased with it.

This cake is covered in off-white fondant and hand painted with streaks of peach and pink to give it a shell coloring. The "pearl" is just a ball of fondant set on top of the cake.

I've made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. The theme was Princess Strawberry Shortcake. I've got the idea for the cake here at CakeCentral!! This was actually my first tiara (that broke!) and the first time that I've tried the 'quilting' look on the MMF. It took me a long time to do it because of the details, but it was all worth it!!

This cake was for my daughter's seventh birthday (Fancy Nancy theme). The bottom layer was strawberry cake, middle layer was sour cream pound cake, and the top was a confetti cupcake. MM Fondant topped each layer. On the middle layer, I used a diamond impression mat. Fondant pearls were used at the diamond intersections.

Another version of this one, but using swags on the bottom tier which I liked much better. This photo was taken in my home kitchen where the B&G came to pick it up... the day after they canceled the wedding with 3 hours to spare! I had their cake serving set there, so I took their pix while they cut the first slice and all that. Very strange situation - I wish I had more details!

Design and flowers on side match bride's dress. Flowers, pearls, and roses all MMF dry dusted with pearl dust and sparkle. 1st time doing tiara and pearls. The pearls are digging into the side of the cake and that really steams me because I bent the wire and everything to prevent it. OH WELL. Broke 1 tiara and was glad that I made 2. Thanks for the article cake central. Was a gift for the bride from me.
