Everything is MMF. My 2 year old daughter "helped" me with this cake while I was covering it with fondant and adding the decorations. So, it ended up being much fancier than I had first planned because I had to keep covering up the areas she "helped" with...hahaha...anyway, I think it turned out rather pretty and my daughter had a good time, too.

Pink leopard print for little girl's first birthday. Plate and invitation provided. All iced in buttercream with edible image surrounded by luster dusted buttercream pearls. 9" double layer round and 5" smash cake. I think this is one of my favorites so far. It helps that the girl is just a doll!

First time using my diamond impression mat and making pearls. I love the way the pearls looked and so easy to do. I need more work on using the mat however. Note to self...do not let the end of the mat touch for fear of unwanted lines..ha

This cake was a surprise for the wife of the music leader at my church. She likes pink daisies, her favorite scripture is Psalm 139:14, and she's a "girly girl" so this is what I came up with. It's a 6" round carrot cake with orange cream cheese buttercream and chocolate MMF pearls dusted with desert plum luster dust. The ruffle around the cake was piped using self-ruffling tip #416---it was my first time using this tip and I loved it! It took all of one minute or less(literally) to pipe the border!

This cake is covered in fondant with edible pearls for the bottom border. The flowers on top are silk (provided by the bride). I was handed the flowers a few weeks beforehand with the assumption by the bride that I'd arrange the flowers. It was my first and only attempt at flower arranging. These are also my first major fondant covered cakes.

This is the second one I did of this cake, the first was a demo for my Wilton Hobby Lobby display. This is an 8" yellow cake with raspberry filling, covered in fondant with buttercream strings. The trinket box, calla lilies, roses, daisie, necklace and ring are fondant/gumpaste mix. The apple blossoms are RI.

I wasn't quite sure which category to place this under - it is really a birthday cake, but I would definately use it as a wedding cake design as well. I, in fact, got the idea from a wedding cake picture in the book Spectacular Cakes. I made it as a surprise for a friend's birthday today. White cake with White Chocolate Almond Buttercream.

these are some gumpaste calla's and hand made cake jewelry with pearls and crystals that i made for an upcoming wedding cake, the 'bride to be' saw my design today and is really happy with what i came up with.. which is a big relieve because she seemed quite fussy and i didn't think i would be able to please her at all......lol. Actual cake will be covered in ivory fondant so please excuse my crappy cake dummies i use these to play around with designs...

This is a baby shower cake to semi-echo the theme of Mod Mom. The lady whom this baby shower was for was not very "girly" and wanted something modern. Plus her baby's room was decorated with circles (which I didn't know when I designed the cake...lol). All decorations and the borders are MMF. I loved doing such a colorful cake! :)

Almost exactly like the Bridal Shower cake I recently made. The flavor is my famous Double Chocolate Layer cake with Bittersweet Chocolate frosting. I chose to do his Wedding Cake similar to the other cake because I think it has a possibility of traveling well. I have to ship this cake 3000 miles across country from Washington to Georgia. I hope it makes it!

This cake was for a friend who's sister is expecting a baby. The cake was designed to somewhat match the shower invitation (colors and flowers). A couple of firsts - 1st time using Luster Dust (can't really tell it's on the pearls and shoestrings) and 1st time making a fondant shoe and swags. This cake was so fun to decorate, I just wish I could have gotten the icing more smooth. Yellow butter cake, chocolate buttercream, MMF accents.

This cake was for a friend of mine. She is extremely simple and didn't even want a topper on the cake! I would have definitely prefered that she had something on the top, but I think it turned out okay considering the design.

This is 14" round, 10" round, and 6" round. I am not real sure that I like how they did the flowers. She put pearls in swags and then stuck the daisies along side the pearls. I think it is a little too much. But as long as the bride likes it (and the check doesn't bounce!) I am happy!!

This is my cake for the Mid-Atlantic Wedding Cake Competiton. The theme was "Something Old, Something New, etc". I chose to do jewelry that the bride would wear. The diamonds are homemade candies from a mold a made. I used pears drageees.I used a soap mold for the bottom layer to resemble pearls. I used lots of luster dusts with my airbrush. I loved doing that!! The tiara is royal with candy diamonds and pearl dragees.

Cake is frosted with IMBC icing. Tuxedo and dress are made from fondant. Side of the cakes are airbrushed with old gold luster dust while some of the fondant decorations are airbrushed with super pearl dust. The cake was ordered for 2 babies dedication (boy & girl) + to celebrate boy's mom bday. This is my first time using IMBC as frosting & create conelly lace... although IMBC tasted good, I had some hard time to make it smooth (especially on the top). Not really happy with the connelly lace either.
