this cake was for a 3 yrear old's birthday. the flowers are sugar cookies covered with meringue powder glaze and then finished off with royal icing. had alot of fun with this cake, but wish I had staggered the front flowers a little more.

There were 8 of these cookies. 4 said Will You Be My Bridesmaid, 1 Jr Bridesmaid, 1 Flower Girl, 1 Maid of Honor and 1 Hair stylist (which was shaped like a comb, but I didn't get a pic of it.) The wedding will be next fall, so she asked for burnt orange and whatever colors I thought would match.

Ok this was kind of crazy to do but I did it . This is the first one I ever made. It is chocolate cake with ding dong filling yes you heard me that was part of the novelty. Thanks to cc members posting there pictures I got alot of ideas. Coconut for the hmmm...hair I now use chocolate shavings it's faster that way. Oh and I used a guitar pan and fondant over buttercream. Thanks to all of you for the cute little phrases that went along with your pictures. The color of cake depend on the bachelorettes wants

A friend brought me a book with this idea in it for her daughter's 9th birthday SLEEP-OVER Party. It's a throw-together....but they loved it. LOL The Cake is chocolate fudge...the "bodies" are 1/2 Twinkies...the faces are peanut butter candy cups...Hair is Sixlet candies, 1/2 marshmallows under the faces for pillows and to prop the faces up...All icing is buttercream except for the blanket trim, which is a strip of fondant.

I made this for my son's birthday. He specifically wanted a figure diving into the pool. My first try making fondant figures. There's a lot of flaws, but my son loved the cake anyway. Thanks a lot to the CC members for the great ideas!!!

This is a cake my friend Melinda made for her twin girls birthday. I sent her several "ideas" from CC and this is what she came up with. It is a double 8" round frosted covered with a MMF tablecloth. After the MMF was rolled out she laid a doily over it and "colored" in the pattern with an edible ink marker. Then dusted the rest with luster dust. The tea set is plastic from the toy store. Her girls really enjoyed being able to play with it after the cake was finished.

This is my first girly birthday cake. Most of the cakes I do are for boys! This was taken before I added a fondant plaque of Pooh bear. Frosted in buttercream and everything else is MMF.

I made this cake for a suprise 80s theme dinner party. They loved it....thank goodness because it didn't come out right at all but despite my frumpy Rubik's cube they still liked it.

Well, everyone deserves a piece of . . . cake for their bachelor party! I made this for a friend's bachelor party, and while it came about a bit lumpy, it was a big hit. But then again, most women i know have a few lumps on their behind, so I think it made it all the more realistic.
