6" & 8" rounds frosted in buttercream. First time making plumeria. ( used MMF) Various fondant flowers. Rock candy. Pretzel rod palm trees with bc frawns. Graham cracker sand. Toy hula dancers. Inspired by ailyn22's version.

Hula girl for a ninth birthday party. Bottom tier is wasc with apple filling, top tier is lemon with vanilla pudding filling (per request of client). Iced in BC, covered in MMF with BC palm trees, MMF and gum paste accents. Thanks for looking :)

Retirement cake for my supervisor. I tried to include all of her hobbies! I'd also written on the side of the cake "Goodbye Tension, Hello Pension"; an idea from someone on this site. :)

Done in buttercream with graham crackers for the sand. The sides are done with a small star tip to resemble the side/roof of a straw hut

Hi, this is Chocolate cake with butter crème frosting and fondant accents. The hot tubs are jumbo cupcakes frosted with Butter crème and the people are fondant with frosting hair. The palm trees are almond fruit rolls cut in half and the palms are fondant, the coconuts are chocolate covered cranberries.

This cake was a going away party cake for a friend leaving to work on a cruise ship for an extended period of time. The beach is crushed vanilla sandwich cookies with the filling removed. The palms and other beach acessories are gumpaste and the boat is a little wooden toy.

This was a cake for my neices 10th birthday - the rocks and sand were made out of a cooked cake crumbled with raw sugar and graham crackers.

The inspiration comes from Sugarfancy. Her cake is so much better but I enjoyed doing this cake. It is a 12 X 16 chocolate cake. The palm trees are pretzels and MMF. The flowers, beach towel and flip flops are MMF.

This cake was made for a 7 year old girl's tropical themed birthday party. 2-6 " layers on top of one 8" layer; marble cake with buttercream icing and fondant flowers; palm trees made from pretzel rods covered in fondand with silk leaves hot glued on top; coconuts made from buttercream; thanks to sbcakes for giving me some tips on constructing palm trees.

My first non-class cake: The Love Shack. Made for a bachelorett party that had a beach theme. Butter cream ocean, raw-sugar sand. Accessories made with Tootsie Rolls, gumpaste, molded chocolate, Nemo gummy characters, and clay.

This was a luau birthday cake I did this past weekend. Allot of firsts for me - first time doing a figurine, first time at trying the hibiscus flower - though I want to try again another time and get them better - but for a first time, I think they came out okay. I was planning on doing a waterfall, but had so many flowers and seashells (made from white chocolate) that I decided to work with what I had.

Half WASC, half CWASC cake. No filling, BC frosting w/ Antonia74 pirate and palm tree. The parrot was also made from Antonia's icing, but broke, so I had to make some repairs. The islands are covered in grahm cracker crumbs...Thanks for looking!

12 inch, 2 layer chocolate with cookies and cream BC fill. Barbie cake is Yellow with 3 layers under wondermold Filled with Raspberry BC. All frosted with BC Dream... yummers! Palm trees are made with tip #81 (chrysanthemum tip :lol: ) Leaves are tip #352 (Thanks DianeLM- you saved me so much time!) Thanks to everybody I got inspiration from but expecially ps3884-your cake showed me i could still do the barbie cake even thought our theme was no longer princesses! :lol:

This cake was for a beach themed wedding. Not my idea of a wedding cake, but the bride and groom loved it. The shells are candy melts everything else is bc. The delivery location for this cake was about 35 minutes from my house and down a pretty bumpy highway. The palm trees separated on the way there so I had to cover it up with shells, but I don't think anyone ever even knew.

Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Almond BC. Fondant Treasure Chest the inside was coated with milk chocolate, filled with cake ball mix and then the coins put on top and painted with non-toxic gold.
