This was a WASC cake with cookies and cream buttercream filling. Everything is made from fondant. I loved this cake the first time I made it close to 4 years ago and was so excited to make another!

I made this for my grandma, she loves owls. It is a lemon pound cake filled with white chocolate raspberry ganache and raspberry filling. You cant tell much from the pics but the sky is marbled royal blue and purple then spotted heavily in different areas with royal blue disco dust.

Chocolate and vanilla sheet cake. Quite possibly the oddest request I have received. For a 60th birthday party and she likes pineapples and owls. The only way I could think to incorporate the pineapples was on the side.

A 6 and 10 buttercream cake. Owl topper is a fondant covered cookie (2--front and back). THe leaves around the owl are fondant. The text is all fondant also. Dots are butter cream dots. Matches clients plates for daughter's first birthday. Close up picture and instuctions of owl are in my gallery.

6 & 8 tiered cake for my birder sister, with MMF leaves, owls, robins and goldfinches, BC branches. Orange spice cake and orange spice buttercream. My second ever tiered cake, not too bad, though I need practice getting frosting smooth & level!

Client sent me several photos with different aspects of each to incorporate. The two tiers were iced in cream cheese icing and the accents were cut out from fondant.

I loved eatCakes' litItle owl and couldn't wait to make some myself. My children are turning 1 & 3 on the same day, so one owl is for each of them and the nest is for everyone else at their birthday party. I made a big mistake in carving the nest cake, though... I tried to round it off at the bottom and now it's cracking on all sides... glad it's just for my family. Next time I would just leave the cake without carving. I think it would still look like a nest. Owls decorated with MMF and nest "sticks" are gumpaste.

This was done for a baby shower. They were expecting a little girl, and her room being done in the "Brooke" pattern from Pottery Barn. The decorations on the cake match that pattern. They also wanted the mother to be sculpture.
