An owl made of buttercream, tea biscuits and oreo cookies. I got the idea by looking at a toy owl, imagined it made out of cookies :).

My first cake made without a mould, and with little hand made bonhommes. This is four layers of white cake separated by a chocolate buttercream (thanks Cake Bible) and the little dudes are all made out of ready made Bulk Barn white fondant. This was a lot of fun but took me a few days so the cake was a little shall we say, ah-stale. In future I'll have to hussle more :) I loved throwing on the headphones and sitting at the kitchen table just making the details, man it's fun!

Fondant wrapped four layered cake with owl fondant cutouts. The toppers were made with fondant but the base shape is actually a hard boiled egg!

WIse owl cupcakes i used oreo cookies for big part of eyes and m&m for the lil part of eyes and chocolate icing!

I made this for my sorority's bid day welcoming the new Tau class. All of our symbols and colors are associated in this cake. Mostly fondant. The white carnations and letters at the top are gumpaste. I was really happy how this turned out, especially given the time constraints I had.

This yellow cake was filled with Coconut cream and iced in crusting chocolate buttercream. The owls and other accents were made from MMF.

Round 3-layer organic chocolate cake covered in French Butter-cream, the owl disks were made by pressing a small ball of marshmallow fondant onto a lightly oiled clay disk that is used to keep brown sugar moist, then the disks were evenly spaced onto the cake and dots and designs were piped with black butter-cream and the top of the cake has gold luster dust inside of the piping! my sisters niece loved the cake!

6" strawberry on a 10" yellow cake all iced in buttercream. The cake was made to match the baby's room which was done in a design made by Carter's. It was a really fun cake to make! All the animals and accents are made from fondant.

Ok, hers my first attempt with fondant. After reading here on CC about MMF, I thought I should give it a try. I need a ton of practice but it was super fun to make and work with.....plus it tastes good. This cake was for my sister's baby shower. WASC filled w/ rasberry mousse...B/C crumbcoat, MMF covered w/ gumpaste flowers.

My mom and I made Owl Valentines for my 1st graders at school. And I bought the "Mister Owl" Wilton pan off eBay so it was perfect! They loved it and it was fun to make. Anything for my kiddos!

very untraditional baby shower cake! the shower had an owl theme and they asked that the cake be designed from the party invitation. all made in buttercream.
