A translucent gold polka-dotted ribbon over an orange ribbon wrapped the bottom of each tier. I was going to do gold-dusted pearls, but just went with white pearls...the gold looked like too much. The toppers were hard to fit, but I managed, and even stuck in the orange silk flowers the bride wanted also. Not my favorite design, but I think I made it work. Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling. Buttercream icing.

This cake was done for an 11 year old girls birthday. She knew exactly what she wanted her cake to look like. I did the flowers out of royal icing and fondant and the rest of the cake was buttercream icing. The young lady jumped up and down when she saw the cake. That was rewarding for me that she loved the cake that much.

A 6", 9", and 12". No decoration except a simple bead border, and a red and orange rose cascade. Red and orange must be popular this year for weddings, it's my second this winter.

For my son's third birthday party, he loves the color orange, everything about this cake was orange, it is a yellow cake dyed orange. It is also a dairy and egg free cake (except for the candy melts) due to his allergies. The nests are made of chocolate covered pretzels with cake ball dinosaur "eggs".

This is my first wedding cake. It is my gift to the bride and groom. The main dessert is a chocolate fountain, but she had a cake topper made so she needed a small cake. The bride requested these 3 of her 5 colors for the wedding. She also wanted the ribbon added. This was a fun cake to make. Hope they like it! I will post photos from the wedding after the weekend. I would love any comments you have. Thanks for looking!

My husband wanted me to try making him a cake the flavor as the orange candy that is dipped in chocolate. We usually get them during Christmas time. They also come in a ball. Believe it or not it tasted just like the candy. Orange cake with Dark chocolate icing.

my first vegan cake!! used the ball pan to make the body and rice krispie treats to make the tentacles with vegan marshmallows!! i thought the marshmallows tasted pretty nasty by themselves but not half as bad with rice krispies. the forsting turned out a little too sweet so if anyone has a good vegan frosting recipe id greatly appreciate it.
this was for my roomates birthday and so i had to bake the cakes in the middle of the night and then forst it in my room the next day - quite a challenge!

Cake made for our pastor's retirement. WBH Orange Butter Cake with Orange Mousse filling. Placques on the side are chocolate. Frosted in buttercream. Had to fix it at work because the filling was too soft; top layer had slid during the commute! The sides were supposed to be smooth - oh well!

This cake is for a Superbowl/birthday party today for some diehard Bears fans. It is 3D sculpted. All cake and BC, then airbrushed to match the logo. This cake was a blast to do, I can't wait for the Bears to win so I can do it again! ;)

First of all I want to say that this was my attempt at one of "antonia74" designs from marmaladecakecompany.com. I just love her cakes and decided to try my FIRST tiered cake using her design. I had a picture of it in my kitchen the whole time I was making it! I did have a little trouble with the fondant (it broke in a few places after I placed it but I was able to cover it with the butterflies as you can see. I also learned that I need to be less frugal when using fondant. (thicker=less bumpy) Next time...

This cake has writing all around. It says to love, to care, to trust, to share, to laugh, and to live. I was inspried by another cake on this website to do the colors and the flowers. I think that the color are a beautiful combo. Oh yeah, and I messed up the writing on the top at first (was trying to write on the blue icing), so I just threw on some MMF and wrote on that. It actually looks better that way so I guess you do learn from your mistakes huh.
