Made for a client who asked for Jonas brothers, and to incorporate her daughter's own pink acoustic guitar. Only had 3 days notice on this cake so not as cleanly done as I would have liked.
The notes on the side are made w/ a mold, Jb logo is white chocolate painted gold, guitar is fondant/gumpaste

I made this for my nephew's 3rd birthday. I made fondant heads of the characters, but decided against using them so I could reuse the design. Cake is a 9x13 cut in half and stacked. Buttercream with fondant accents/letters.

I cut out the treble cleft from a print out and just laid it on top of the cake. The girl wanted the cake to be in the shape of the cleft but I wasn't even sure if it was possible. So we opted for this which I really liked.

Made for a grad traveling from Cal Poly Pomona to Long U-Boston packed with diploma (sugar sheet over fondant on a chocolate bar-hand written in edible marker), fondant microphone with school logo in edible pen, rolled music sugar sheet. 8x8" and 10x10" squares cakes stacked and carved and doweled. Used a texture mat for the circle pattern and made the black fondant music notes on the bag from a mold. Purse straps with sewing wheel stitching. All Michelle Foster fondant. :) TFL!

10" choc sponge torted and filled with chocolate buttercream and 7" vanilla sponge torted and filled with seedless raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream. Not entirely happy with this... I'd hoped for a more noticeable difference in colour between the two tiers :o( The inscription was done by tracing over a print out of the words "mazel tov" in Hebrew onto the cake so it left an imprint. Then, I piped over it with royal icing in a no.1 tube, then filled it with some let-down royal icing.

20 vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream swirls; 20 choc cupcakes with choc buttercream filling and topped with a sugarpaste (fondant) disc and all 40 topped with musical notes (which I did with a Patchwork Cutter). These are for a Bat Mitzvah party... tonight is a disco for her school friends - I also posted a 2 tier cake in similar colours and decorations, for a luncheon yesterday for family and close friends.

A musician friend of mine was celebrating his 50th birthday. I painted this silly sketch of a disintegrating musical score with food coloring on fondant. He had a good laugh.

9 inch cake. Carved to make it smaller at the bottom. Covered in fondant. Edible image and premade music notes(he's a drummer) from the fabulous cake store in Fresno, Ca! Made this 1800 miles from home for my nephew after I did my sister's wedding cake. I didn't have the time to really go all out for him like I wanted. I also didn't have a ribbon to put around the cake board! I felt it was unfinished!

Graduation cake for a guy that plays a Fender guitar. :) All fondant. The top "square" of the graduation cap is cardboard... I don't usually like to have non-edible parts on my cakes but I forgot to make that part earlier this week so it could dry in time. Oh well. Thanks for looking!

This was for my friend's daughter's 7th birthday. She was having a Camp Rock party. This was my second attempt at fondant, and at least it looks better than my first. For the logo, I printed out a picture from the internet, then cut out each individual piece and used it as a template, cutting out the fondant with a paring knife. Cake is WASC with pudding filling. The birthday girl was SO excited when she saw it!!

This was for my sister-in-law's 50th birthday who is a big Elvis fan. The cake is an 8in cake with 4 layers of chocolate and white chocolate chip iced in BC. The record, notes, and Elvis is all made out of fondant. I found little jewels at Hobby Lobby to jazz Elvis and painted him with silver luster dust. He fell off of the cake on the way to the table so his leg is broke and the icing messed up but it was still a hit. This was my first figurine so a learning process. TFL!

This was a teal colored guitar... its covered in icing, then has fondant laying on the icing like the neck, and hardware, along with the bottom white pieces, etc. I was very happy with the outcome! However the strings i did with icing, and as soon as they dried they broke when the cake was moved. Next time I guess ill make them out of fondant. Any advice?

This was a vanilla butter cake, split and firstly coated with white chocolate ganache then covered in white fondant, for a friends son's high school formal. Everything is made of fondant except the top hat and cane which I cheated with. My third ever attempt at covering a cake with fondant.
