Although not perfect, this cake is still better than the Lions past few seasons.

Why did I start this business with young kids? I get so frustrated because I NEVER have time to finish the things I'd like to on my cakes. This poor guy is missing a football field and other finishing touches on the helmet.

This was for a 14 year boy who loves the Dallas Cowboys. It's 4 layers of vanilla/almond cake. Starting from the bottom: (1) 9" round (2) 10" rounds, (1) 8" round. I didn't realize how hard it was to sculpt a "smooth" round cake ;-) TFL!!

I made this for my husband's 30th birthday! It is frosted with buttercream, and the letters, numbers, and fleur de lis are made with frozen buttercream transfer. I used an 12X18 pan and cut off the bottom 4 inches (and then split that in half) to make 4X6 sleeves. I cut a slight angle into the sleeves to make them not stick straight out!

Whew.....This was a tough lesson learned! I followed KittieKakes tutorial for the mask (which was wonderful...thank you)....but I didn't wrap the posts around enough and the mask ended up being bigger than the helmet. The cake was due today so I didn't have time to make another one. I added some fondant and did the best I could. Gumpaste mask with fondant wrapped around it to hold it together (I started messing with it and it started falling apart so I had to reinforce it).

This was for my father-in-law's birthday, who is a huge Green Bay Packers fan. The football was a strawberry cake covered in chocolate fondant with fondant laces. The hat was inspired by (but not nearly as nice) CC member, dotscakestudio. It was a chocolate cake covered in vanilla fondant. The bill and emblem were also fondant.

All butter cream, white cake with custard filling. Client wanted NO colored icing and NO fondant, so I only used fondandt for the jerseys on the front and the end zones. I used light green jimmys for the field grass. Players and goal posts are plastic and bottom border is ribbon. Not very original, but I bet it tasted good with over 5 lbs. of mock buttercream!

NFL raiders cake. My second Raiders cake. The first one came out better. I did this one on Thanksgiving while also making Thanksgiving dinner so I felt pressure and I was running out of time. I wont ever do cakes around holidays anymore. Lesson learned.

Birthday cake for my brother, had to make at last minute! The face mask didn't turn out as planned, but at least some of it stayed put. I only had a few hours to throw it together and it didn't have time to dry enough :( But he loved it and only I know what I wanted it to look like I guess! hehe TFL!!

Done for a friend of mine, her husband was turning 49, hence the marking of the "yard line." Lemon pound cake for the helmet, 3-6" rounds were carved, covered in fondant and painted with black food coloring for the shiny black. Fondant accents with butter cream piped grass and lines and words. The facemask is wire covered with fondant.
