My attempt at a model of one of my students. Not so pleased with how it looks, but all edible except for toothpicks in model. She's doesn't like cake, so I made her some nutter butter balls, peanut butter rice krispies, and this.

This cake was a first for me. A first in the fact that I finally got to make the circle dot combination. I have seen this design on here a hundred times, and I kept saying I want to do that. Well, finally a client cake to me wanting this design, and I took on the challenge. However, I felt like when I was done, the cake still needed something... any ideas? I just felt like it was complete... anyways, TFL and i am a CSM member.

The bottom and top are both double tiers, while the middle is a single. Bottom tier has a handcut silhouette, middle and top are edible images. Weighing over 20kgs, this was one big cake!

This was a lot of first timers for me (structure, RKT, and 45 minute delivery travel). I feel like I was just on the Ultimate Cake Off! Each letter was @ 10" high. The top A was styrofoam. The L and E were red velvet, oreo filling, fondant. X and bottom E were RKT with fondant. Bottom base cake was red velvet, oreo filling, and fondant. I put the designs on the sides since I didn't want to distract from the shape of the letters. We also used the sketch of the cake on cookies for the party favors. TFL.

I made this for my son's sixth grade graduation. I wrote all of the new graduate's names on the side of the cake and did it in thier "new" school's colors. Not a difficult cake, but I fought it the whole wasy and wished it would have come out a little better. My son loved it, so that's really all that matters. TFL

Marble cake with buttercreme icing...This was my first time making blocks and I thought "how hard can it be"...lesson learned. I had so much trouble making them perfectly square, while icing them the corners just wouldn't stay nice. Then the fondant...ugh! It was starting to get so warm out that it would just slide down the sides. I had to keep putting them in the fridge to set :( After making all the individual cakes where made I started stacking, I used bubble straws and was going to go 1, 2, 3 layer but the weight or the second layer started crushing the block in the middle. This was my nightmare cake...I learned a lot and will try to do blocks again but just as a trial run to see if I can fix my mistakes. How else can a person get better right?

This cake is 3 layers of white chocolate mud with buttercream frosting and covered with fondant. All characters and blocks are fondant. I used a large leaf cutter and then "shredded" it with the veining tool to look like feathers.

This cake is a 2 tier. The bottom tier is a 8x4 and the top tier is 6x4. The cake is milk chocolate with with chocolate gnache!

A Gift Box Cake with yellow ribbons and teal fondant with yellow stripes and a white top to give the illusion of a lid. I also included a tag with her name on it to give it a real gift look! Very lovely!
