Had this one on my todo list for awhile now. Finely got to try it today. The mushroom is RCT, the frogs and fairies are from Dollar Tree. Sorry you can't see all the details in the picture that good.

Ah, inspired by so many cakers on this site and their wonderful cakes, thank you! For a 6 year old birthday party. IMBC frosted although the mushroom is covered in fondant. Fondant bugs, the bees are suspended on spaghetti. Oreo crumbs at the base. Gumpaste flowers, stems, leaves...The base cake is chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling, the middle (purple) tier is a rainbowlicious cake. I loved doing this cake, it was so much fun!

Actually a Christening cake but I think it would work as a birthday cake. 8 9 10 inch cakes stange but a lot of cake was needed and none was left at the end. Vanilla Madeira Jam and BC. All handmade firgures and creatures from fondant cmc mix. FIrst attempt at any them TY for the fairy tutorial on here. Lustre dust top 2 tiers. inspiration from debbie browns books and CC. Everyone at the christening loved it . TY for looking any comments greatly appreciated.

I made this for our friends who are about ready to finalize an adoption of a sweet little girl from Ghana. This was a joy to make for their family, and it was loved by them. Covered with SMBC and fondant accents (idea from Debbie Brown Party Cakes book).

My Mom (Launa) was making some 10" round cakes, and asked me to level the tops. Not being one to waste any excess cake :) I asked for the tops to experiment on. This is the result! Iced in Buttercream with Fondant Accents.

Halloween dinner is served or should i say severed muahahahah. On the menu this halloween is a severed head on a bed of cabbage. Served with mushrooms, tomatoes, pea pods and corn on the cob (with a knob of butter). Also included as a side order are severed fingers and ears for you to enjoy at your lesuire. Enjoy your meal.

i got an idea for this cake off of CC, but i dont remember who's cake it was. Sorry! but it was not my original idea, but one of the many talented cakers on here. this cake didnt really turn out well, it had a lot of mishaps. mainly the fondant was being bad, and i was in a rush. i only had 2 hours to assemble and decorate the cake. the gumpaste snail came apart and i had to patch it back to gether with icing. anyway... it tasted good, so i guess thats all that matters. :)

All made with fondant - top layer is strawberry flavor and bottom is chocolate. My first attempt at making little fairies too! This is one of my favourite cakes I have ever made. Thanks for looking! XO

3 tiered stacked tinkerbell cake. Mushrooms, flowers, leaves made from gumpaste. Buttercream icing. Topper is from WDW and is actually a small jewelry box!

This cake is for my little sister (shes 26!). She use to LOVE playing the Super Mario game on nintendo. It's buttercream and fondant accents. Thanks CC all the mario pics. And thanks cakeladydi yours is so much better.

I made this for work. What fun! :) The stump is carrot cake with the Wedding-Crusting Cream Cheese icing from here, and the large pumpkin was three 6" pumpkin spice cakes that I carved and covered with fondant. The squirrel, and decorations are gumpaste, except for the leaves that are just fondant.

Here is my first yule log I made for a Christmas party. It is a chocolate sponge cake with white chocolate mousse filling and decorated with meringue mushrooms and sugared rosemary. I got the recipe from MarthaStewart.com but I omitted the coconut. It was a lot of fun and actually traveled very well. Thanks for looking!

I made 2 sets of these for my daughter to take to school for her birthday. They were so time consuming. All fondant. I am pretty happy with the results. I got the idea for these cupcakes from Hello Naomi on Flickr. Hers are way better, but this was my first time trying something like this. TFL!

this was my first attempt at a yule log. I'm pleased with how it turned out decoration wise. It's all BC. For the cake itself I used a chocolate cake with marshmellow filling and it was a bit dry. Can anyone recomend a good recipe for a jelly type cake?

This tree stump was so fun to make. I layered the chocolate buttercream on extra thick and textured it with a fork. The gum paste mushrooms were sprinkled with powdered sugar before placing them around the base of the stump.

this was a fairy cake i did for a friend's daughter last minute. i used the giant cupcake pan to make the mushroom. i had a horrible time icing it for some odd reason. the little girl loved it though and that's all that matters. i'm a critique subgroup member...thanks for the input

I made this cake for a family get together. The top is RCT the bottom is butter cake. The cake is covered in fondant. I got the idea from Debbie Brown's book 50 easy party cakes. It was lots of fun to make. The people liked the RCT layer more than the cake layer.

Made this quick just for the fun of it. NFS and tara1970 icing. First time I've done this kind of cookie....learned a lot...like I needed to think the icing more not to get lumps...LOL.... Anyway..they were fun!!
