I really like this design... I've seen a few on here... This is my first attempt at it... It's four 6 inch stacked chocolate cakes. Iced w/buttercream. The handle and base of the "mug" is Fondant. The wood grain I carved with different tools out of fondant. Enjoy!

This cake is in the shape of a mug. The cake is covered in marbled chocolate MMF, with mocha buttercream on the top to resemble a mocha latte. Buttercream was used for the "whipped cream" topping. The cake is a fudge cake layered with mocha buttercream, and peppermint buttercream with Jr mints. This was my first time creating a cake to resemble an object.

My very first 3D cake! So much fun!! Everything except the computer screen is edible. The screen is a foam core board covered in fondant with freehanded logo to match the company's actual logo design. This cake was to celebrate the launch of the new company website at a big "Launch Party" . The coffee mug and mouse are all cake too. I think the mug is probably my favorite of all. :-)

This lady wanted a beer mug cake for her daughter but didn't want fondant on it, so I went old school on this one and rounded a loaf cake, iced it with buttercream and air-brushed it. Then I added buttercream foam and cake sparkles for that wet look.

My version of the ever so popular suspended beer can cake. Made for my hubby's 39th birthday. 4 - 6 inch cakes stacked. 2 layers mocha with whipped chocolate ganache filling and 2 layers chocolate with raspberry filling. First time using SugarShacks buttercream recipe. It was very tasty and easy to work with. I will definitely be making it again!

This cake was inspired by xpangxiong's beer cake. This cake was six layers of 8 inch rounds. I think I should have added another three layers because the beer mug doesn't look tall enough. I had a lot of fun making this cake.

I saw some absolutely amazing wedgewood cookies by cookieartisan on Flckr They inspired me to try some blue/white teacups. These were just some quick cookies I made for a last minute bake sale at school. I definitly would do some again and spend more time with some delicate piping and try to get the right blue color.

I saw a beautiful teacup and saucer cookie by cc member bonniebakes and she was kind enough to tell me how she made it. Here is a trial version I made for the kids piano teacher. I am hoping to make 2dozen for the Mother's day tea at school.I'll do a few things different next time, but all in all pretty happy with the outcome.
