Bday cake for my DH. I have wanted to make a suspended cake for awhile now. Second time making a sugar beer bottle. This time I was able to find teh stuff to make the bottle mold so it was a lot easier! Thanks again SweetResults for the instructions for these! Bottle suspended with a dowel rod that I imbedded into the cake board as well. Bottle was heavy so I was worried that it would tip over! IMBC icing used Shirleys recipe for the first time. Delicious! Also tried out a new choc cake recipe too,

Carrot cake with Cream cheese icing. I added the bowl because I was scared to go higher with the mug. Thanks for the doweling instructions, it survived a 2hr. car trip in a cooler!

One of my first cakes, for my brother-in-law. All bc, if I did it again I'd use a smaller tip for the outlines, but overall, pretty good. Used Wilton good cheer mug cake pan.

Cake I did for my dad...however as you can tell from this picture it started leaning badly. I used the Wilton Mini Tasty Fill pan so I think it just wasn't sturdy enough. By the time my dad got it it was almost all sunken in! Vanilla cake, choco mousse filling, covered in MMF and butter cream suds.

I did this cake for a pastor's anniversary. It's based on a cake that another CC member, MARIPRINCESA, did, but instead of a donut, I did a honeybun and I added a pen to the cakeboard. My coffee cup is kind of shakey, but it came okay. The coffee mug is RKT covered in fondant, the honeybun, napkin and pen are fondant. The bible is cake covered in fondant.

This wa my second try at this cake. My husband gave the suggestion of piping tip 16 stars to cover it. Well don't take husbands advise it looked bad. After trying to smooth it was quite hard. The cake was also very unstable even though had many dowels in it. So I ended up cutting it and putting it lying down.
Picture will follow

So this is what I turned my standing up beer mug into when it looked like it was going to fall over. Not what I wanted but what can I do. I didn''t want the customer to get it in her car and it would fall over.

Beer mug was made from 4 - 6" round cakes. Filled w/ vanilla buttercream and strawberry preserves. Covered in fondant and airbrushed for color. Foam is simply buttercream. The sausage was made from rice crispy treats and covered in fondant (airbrushed color). Pretzes too fondant, "salt" is sugar crystals. Fun cake to do!

Made for my son's 6th grade teacher who is an avid K-State fan and coffee drinker! 6" base and three 3" layers for mug (I have a small set), all Funfetti per son's request. Would love some advice on how to work on a small cake like that. I ended up putting a long skewer through it to hold on to, but it was nearly impossible to frost and smooth when I couldn't hold onto it! All BC with 50/50 handle and logo. All in all pretty pleased, but will improve next time.

Originally, my plan was to do a frozen buttercream transfer of the face on this mug. But then someone came up with the bright idea to embed the mug right into the cake! Easy! This is all mocha buttercream (and ceramic :)

This is two 10" cakes stacked on top of each other then covered in light blue fondant. Fondant and buttercream decorations, chocolate buttercream frosting for the "hot chocolate" and real marshmallows. I also made smaller ones to match for each family member. Thanks for looking!

I cut ten circles from a 1/4 sheet cake then stacked them 2 high to make these 5 mugs. They are a pain to ice, but once they are covered in fondant, they are darling! Handles are two shades of gumpaste twirled together. I would suggest wrapping them around a wire, I should have, as they all started to break when I was putting them on...
Thanks for looking!

this one really started to bleed badly, I think I wrapped it too soon because I had a million cookie bouquets to make and was in a time crunch!
