12 Year old birthday cake, winter fun theme. Teddy Graham bears in a winter wonderland, frolicking on the mountain. Bears on saucers, tobogans, skis and skating on a sugar ice pond. The only inedible item is the plastic trees. Yellow cake with lemon curd filling. Frosted in whipped cream frosting with glycerine sparkle. Air head candy taffy used for scarves, saucers, sleds, etc. Tootsie roll logs by the sugar ice pond and mini marshmellow snowmen.

The last time I did an "Over the Hill" cake I made the man out of gumpaste. This time I decided pipe it with icing: bad choice. The actual cake looked a lot better in person.

This cake was made for my nephew's 3rd birthday. The cake is covered in buttercream and the tracks and rocks are made of fondant. The trees are sugar cones covered with frosting. The thomas was part of a Thomas the Tank cake kit purchased from my local cake supply store.

I got my inspiration from biviana's mountain cake, customer wanted a peak that was round and not pointy. The 95 yr old "hiker" is the birthday girl. Chocolate cake, raspberry filling, my first fondant covered cake!

Cake for a local vet who rock climbs in his spare time. Chocolate cake with espresso cream filling and vanilla BC. All decorations are fondant. Cna't begin to describe the trouble this cake gave me, but when all was said and done I was pleased. Thanks for looking!

I made this for my son's 2nd bday. The track was made of crushed oreos which he loved. Accents are buttercream and fondant. Thanks for looking.

My son wanted a Yeti Ice cream cake. The boys loved it. It's just a big hunk of MMF . The best part was I made the cake with Ice cream sandwiches and dingdongs. covered in cool whip. Not the fanciest but the boys thought it was great and it was the easiest ever.

This was specially requested by client for their 10th anniversary at their museum. The cake is WASC (lemon) w/ Fresh Meyer Lemon Curd and lemon better cream. All frosted in Vanilla BC. Mountain is a rct covered in mmf and painted out. All Floral is gumpaste and the fir tree branches are tootsie roll and RI. Rocks are home made rock candy and pine cones are tootsie rolls as well. This was a interesting cake to do. One last thing.. board is a collage I made of all the local floral and fauna from around Mt.TFL

My oldest friend's father turned 70 yesterday, she and her twin also turned 40 so they had a 150th birthday party!! Her father is a young at heart, mountain climbing fantastic man so this is his cake. Bottom layer is chocolate raspberry sponge with lemon bc, top layer is lemon and ginger cream cake with choc BC. Figure is fondant as is the Saga van and the flowers and trees.

Made this for a friends birthday. 3 layers, staggered, with buttercream "snow" frosting and mmf accents (boulders and waterfall). The t rees are sugar cones covered with buttercream using the #18 tip. The little snowmobile is the only inedible thing on the cake.

This is my son's 7th birthday cake. This is a chocolate cake with cookies & cream filling. Mainly buttercream but the mountain is a pound cake sculpted and covered in MMF. My sister "painted" it with Wilton icing colors. The mushrooms and banana peels are royal icing. I used some piping gel for the water along with the buttercream. The large yoshi egg is MMF. Modeled after Yoshi Falls--his favorite track on Mario Kart on Wii.

I made this cake for my son's 11th birthday. It was super easy. The mountain is made of rice crispy treats with a fondant overlay.

This was modeled after a cake by bwonderful. (THANKS!) I used BC for icing and carved the roads out of a stacked cake. Rocks, Road, cones, and other fixtures are modeled satin ice that has been airbrushed. I did this about 2 weeks back, waiting for a photo from the customer showing the Cars characters on the cake, but no success, so imagine Lightning Mcqueen and his buddies cruising this cake! TFL

Made this for a little girl's 2ed birthday. I've never watched Dora so I looked at all the cakes on here for ideas, and then tried to include everything. It's marble cake with bc iceing.

This is a cake that we made to donate to the Joplin Volunteer Fire Department's fund raiser. It was auctioned off and brought $110. We did a FBCT (our first attempt) of the Resort's license plate and put candy melt fire hydrants and fire hats on the corners. It was a huge hit!

Well, I got this order 3 DAYS before client needed it for her son's wedding! She originally wanted a mountain with deer on it and a hunter shooting at one, however, with such late notice, I couldn't get a hunter....just the deer! Anyways, I think it still turned out great for short notice!

Mom wanted a mountain with a train going around it, a bell on top with a leather strap, and a Santa toy bag and gold ticket at the base of the mountain. Chocolate with chocolate frosting. Fondant with Duff's crushed RI technique for the mountain and trees

All buttercream with fondant/gumpaste accents. Made for a hubby that just completed his PhD after a long hard battle! Wife provided milestones to add to the cake....including a road block when he failed a test....hence the rockslide! Lots of fun and she/he loved it!

Thanks to Malakin for the idea assistance... Made this for my cousin's 30th birthday ... he loves snowmobiling and having a good time. My dad and I worked on this one together and had a blast!!! All Chocolate cake and ALOT of it.

Made for a Sweet "16 going on 17". Recipient has a lead role in upcoming play of "Sound of Music." Cake is 10in, 9in, 8in, and bowl-shape, frosted in BC with fondant accents. Topper is hand-modeled fondant....thanks to Aine for her tutorial on "faces"... helped a lot!

The little sugar bride and groom chase eachother down the side of this marbled mountain cake. Buttercream was added for snow and sprinkled with rainbow hologram and edible glitter. The little trees were green fondant cone shapes cut with little scissors and a large pretzle stick inserted

small three tier cake size 3-6-9 inch two layer cakes iced in buttercream with some airbrushing. Gingermen are fondant allowed to dry with hands and feet in moving positions. Peppermint and lollies are made from fondant. Other candies are real candy added to the cake. Some hologram dusts were added to the cake for sparkle.

I made this for my son's Blue & Gold banquet (cub scouts). For those who aren't familiar with it, that is when the boys who have reached the highest level of cub scouts bridge over to boy scouts. The cake on the left is the cub scout mountain (each animal represents a cub scout rank: bobcat, tiger, wolf, bear). The mountain on the right is the boy scouts mountain. The boys crossing the bridge are fondant representions of the boys who were bridging this year. All BC with fondant decorations. The only things non-edible are the wooden bridge and the wood dowels that are serving as tent posts, and the toothpicks that are the "marshmallow sticks".

This cake is two 6" cakes stacked on two 8" cakes and then carved a little bit. covered in fondant with fondant trees. snowboarder was gumpaste and so was the sign. I got the design from another CCer, sorry can't remember who. :( Thanks for the inspiration! TFL!

This cake is for variety show at the United Methodist Church. Mountains are white chocolate cake covered in fondant and airbrushed. The figures are all fondant.

6"x10" stacked square cakes. All decorations are made of MMF. Well, the light above the barn door was a small LCD light inserted into a lantern shaped MMF item. LOL!! Enjoy!
