This cake of course was inspired by many of the cakes on this site. Thanks to all of you! This is a 9" spice cake with Buttercream filling. Two ghosts trick or treating under the full moon with the wicked witch flying in the background. Around the sides it says BOO!! Hope I didn't scare you. :-)

A single layer 10" round; split & filled then iced in b'cream. I had very little notice on this so I had to put the gumpaste moon outside in the hot sun to dry fast enough:) Then it was dusted with super pearl dust mixed with silver for a shimmery shine. Stars & clouds are fondant. Blue & pink were aribrushed lightly to help show off the clouds & stars.

Half Sheet cake cut to make the space shuttle. Ran out of frosting, so only a "crumb coat" is on the shuttle. Would have looked much better w/another coat (or fondant). Royal Icing accents. The Moon is made with the Sports Ball cake pan. Tinted whipped frosting grey, and left all the imperfections. Craters made w/frosting spatula; tried a buttered spoon per suggestion, but didn't work for me. Topped with space "toys" from a mini moon rover set.

This was for the baby shower for a friend of my cousin. Bottom tier is WASC with chocolate filling, middle tier is WASC with raspberry filling, Top is WASC with icing only. Iced with IMBC and Michele Foster's fondant. Figures are fondant or 50/50 fondant and gumpaste. This took forever to make but was sooooo fun! Thanks so much to sarahnichole975 as I used her nursery rhymes cake for my inspiration! I will post some closeups of figures over the next few days.

I used a ball cake pan. Covered with gray buttercream sprinkled with silver dust. After smoothing the frosting I used a tartlet shaper to make the craters. The stars are sugar cookie cut outs frosted with royal icing and sprinkled with gold dust.

Space shuttle was chocolate cake and did white cake for moon using Wilton ball pan. My son made the flag (his bday) and we used a astronaut figurine from one of his toys. Astronaut could be made using fondant or decorated ginger bread cookie.

I got inspiration for this cake on here from a few other users. It was only my fifth cake to make, so I still need some practice on my writing and the smoothness of my buttercream. It is all buttercream with fondant decorations. Thanks for looking!

I was inspired by many other CC's versions posted- thank you all! I'm really happy with how cute this turned out! Its fondant with 50/50 decorations and royal icing clouds. Cow and moon are attached with lollypop sticks and royal icing. It was made for a friend's shower whose baby is of unknown sex, so I didn't want the whole cake to be in sky blues, so I added the pink tier to look like a sunset. I added luster dust to make the whole thing sparkle.
