I am so disappointed with how this cake photographed. It was so much prettier in person. The brown was a warm chocolate color and not nearly as dark as it looks in the photo.

This was for my sister's "Diaper Shower". It was my first fondant cake and there are
a lot of flaws, but overall I was pleased. My bear smooshed when I put the head on. Next time, I will let them dry before I attach the head and body. It was alot of fun and a huge hit at the party.

This was for a woman who had a martini bar themed birthday party. MMF with MMF accents. I made this right after I watched Sugarshack's Flawless Fondant DVD. I still have a lot of practice with my fondant work, but it was soooo much easier to work with after I watched the DVD. Thanks Sugarshack!!

This is for my brother. Wedding cakes aren't my forte, but of course, I had to make his! ;-)
12", 10", 8" & 6 " tiers covered fondant. The ribbon color matches the bridesmaids dresses. I purchased their monogrammed cake topper.

This girl LOVED bows, so I was hired to make a 2 tier pink cake with black bows. I made the Monogram and accents from floral wire and beads. Cake is covered in pink MMF, real ribbon, Silk Peonies. Super simple but I really liked how it turned out.

I made this for a good friend's birthday. She loves bright Spring colors. It is just a six-inch cake -torted- but made such a cute personal gift.

My first wedding cake! And probably my last, too, since I was a total stress case! Apologies for the poor lighting - it is actually brown and white, not black and white. Anyway, it is 10" (WASC with Raspberry filling), 8" (chocolate with ganache filling), and 6" (WASC with ganache filling) squares, iced in IMBC, covered in Michele Foster's fondant. Scrolling is done in fondant since I'm a terrible piper. The "B" on top (which you can hardly see in the pic due to the poor lighting!) is RI.

This is a Buttercream with assorted cake flavors. The piping is chocolate fudge buttercream. The ribbon on the bottoms is satin (I was devastated about the grease spots!).

This is a competition cake. Placed second in my division. The bottom and middle tier are round. The top tier is slanted - chocolate fondant. Sugar crystals coat each tier. I was inspired by the Arts and Crafts era of the thirties. Marbled fondant tiered board.

14", a Double 9" tier, and 5" tiers of maple walnut cake with maple BC icing.
This cake traveled almost 500 miles to our niece's wedding. Each tier was filled, crumb iced, and boxed separately for the trip, and put together in a hotel room. The callas and initials plaque were GP, made ahead and carefully packed for the trip. The newlyweds loved the cake, and that made all the work worth it!

Here's a picture of one of the cookies I did for my sister's wedding. She wanted to do cookies as a party favor so I volunteered. I'm not a cookie expert but was really pleased at how these turned out. I did a total of 180 cookies and there wasn't one left over. I have so much respect for all of the people thtat do these cookies and do such a beautiful job. This one was really tough!!!
