Top tier was 3, 9"x2" rounds. Base tier was 4, 14"x2" rounds, torted into 8 layers, with a cake board in the middle and dowels supporting it all. Buttercream with fondant accents and gumpaste gardenias (thanks to ShirleyW for her help). BC cracked all the way around the middle board, drooped, and accents fell off in the car- had to re-ice and decorate at the reception. So, it's not perfect, but I'm proud I was able to pull it together despite the problems!

This cake was for a bride's wedding shower whose colors were black and white and the invitations were contemporary with black and white circles. The only color the bride is using in the wedding is red, and they are going to be red roses, so we included them on her cake as well. I saw the top of a cake done by JSmith called "Curvy" and loved it and so did the bride, so we used the design only slightly changing the fondant roses. Thanks JSmith !
The cake is made entirely of fondant, as well as the monogram.

Gosh it’s been so long that I have posted a cake pic up I don’t even remember the specifics of this cake. I did this cake about a month ago and it was really a fun easy elegant design. The bride wanted impressions of berries on stems in the fondant to match her fall floral arrangements. So that’s what I did. I believe the cake was pumpkin spice with spiced cream cheese filling but I might be wrong and am way to lazy to go down into the shop to check…lol The topper is made from gumpaste and painted with gold luster dust and the fondant is ivory. Thanks for looking!

This is a white chocolate raspberry cake with white chocolate buttercream icing. Thanks to all of the wonderful cakes on CC that gave me the inspiration. I tried to do the fondant shapes on the side, but they kept breaking. :(

14" and 10" rounds with bc icing. The 10" has been cut so that it fits against the 14". The dress is fondant with non-edible rhinestones. I removed the arms and head from a doll pick and the torso in half. I covered the neck and top portion with black fondant and then added the dress . Monogram is fondant and combines the "K" that begins the bride's first name and the "C" that begins the groom's first name. The monogram is dusted with silver luster dust and non-edible rhinestones.

Oh boy....what problem didn't I have with this cake? I made it for my Mom's birthday party today. It is a two layer 13x9 Freckled Mocha cake filled with chocolate ganache and iced in buttercream with fondant/gumpaste circle roses and daisies and sparkles. Forgot to add the design was inspired by "justme50".

I made this cake for my mom's 60th birthday. It's covered with mmf with mmf & royal icing details. I also made the bow with a mmf/gumpaste mix. A little bit of shimmer was added with luster dust. You probably can't see it, but there's also a little swaroski crystal in each of the white flowers. The mmf detail on the top layer was supposed to look like flowers, but instead they look like flames. Oh well. Now I know what I can use to make flames if I need to.
