Buttercream with real ribbon and strands of rhinestones. Sugarpaste monogram on the top tier and fresh roses. Hint: I cut the rhinestones apart for the top tier since its SMBC and I didn't want them sliding off!

This was a birthday cake for a friend. The cake is covered in fondant (MMF). The roses are also fondant as is the initial K.
The little balls around the bottom are fondant rolled into ball shapes by hand.

I made this cake for a friend of my mom's. WASC cake with cheesecake filling, buttercream icing. The bride forgot to order flowers for the top, so the grandmothers gave me their corsages. Even though more flowers would have been pretty, I thought that was a special touch.

Only 5 of 250 petit fours with a monogram for a gentlemans 80th birthday celebration. The family wanted only finger desserts so I did these and creme puffs. Thanks to my mom and sister for helping me assemble and package these. This was my biggest order so far!! Thanks for looking!! Oh yes - there were much prettier petit fours in the order than these, but these were the last ones to go in and I almost forgot to take a picture!!

This was a cupcake cake. The stand held about 50 cupcakes and the rest were placed in the cooler. The groom's father custom made this stand. The cupcakes were raspberry with cream cheese icing and marble with whipped cream icing. The pink monogram was made with white chocolate.

White chocolate cake with strawberry filling. Decorated in fondant and the monogram was hand painted with silver luster dust. Oh, and the middle cake was a styrofoam cake. This one is my favorite cake to date!

I really liked this cake. All four tiers were covered in white fondant, and then I added real black ribbon, buttercream swirls, and a fondant monogram.

This was my first wedding cake, wasn't too thrilled on her insistence on the plates/pillars but she gave me some freedom on the decor. I think it turned out pretty well. All buttercream with different designs on each tier, champagne colored satin ribbon and pearls. Gumpaste orchids and cala lilies and a gumpaste monogram topper. Cake was chocolate fudge for two tiers and lemon for the others.

I'm proud of this one : )
Thanks to tutugirl for the idea.
First time using chocolate fondant and first time successfully making RED fondant!!!!!
I didn't have enough money to buy gum paste mix so I made the "P" out of fondant. I was so worried it would bend or fall apart I redid it with a wire skeleton.
I loved making this one though, I felt like I was painting a canvas.

Not really crazy about the colors but this is what the customer wanted so I did the best I could with it. These were the colors on the invitaion to the monogram bridal shower. SHe was happy with it so I guess that's what counts - but for some reason it makes me think of poker!! (wasc cake, buttercream icing, colorflow monogram)

Done in their wedding colors. My first time doing Cornelli lace. My sister came into town for the anniversary, so after a quick tutorial, she did the piping with me. We would work on a section, then rotate the cake and work on another section so our lace would blend. Made for a fun afternoon - got to visit with her and get the cake done faster, too!

Made for my SIL and BIL 25th anniversary. Bottom tier is pina colada cake, top chocolate fudge - both filled and iced (very poorly) with cream cheese icing flavored with parrot bay rum. Could NOT get icing smooth - the more i treid, the worse it got. My first fondant bow - other accents are fondant too. . I realized after I took the picture that I missed some pearls by the monogram, but I fixed it before the guests arrived. Thanks for looking!
