Not sure whose original idea this is but the customer gave me a photo from pinkcakebox to work from as well as a figure from some other site...and then some color changes. Cool styrofoam stand I got from my bakery supply...disposable enough to charge the customer and let them keep it. The venue was very dark, hard to get a nice shot.

I made this for my mom's birthday since she is the Queen Bee Mom in our family. She loved it! This shot wasn't the best, but you get the idea. It was fun to make, but I was at my mom's and didn't have all my supplies. I had to hand carve the letters which I normally wouldn't have done.

This would be great for a b'day or Mother's Day. Someone else on CC put an idea of someone's where they interlocked the letters. Sorry I don't know who to give the credit to : (

This was a strawberry bottom with strawberry filling, the top was orange dream cycle. All buttercream with fondant accents. Used Tutu girls cake as inspiration, wish my buttercream looked like hers. The Mother wanted a blue umbrella since she was having a boy, the colors are somewhat off due to my camera. The green wasn't quite that bright in person.

A friend requested a cake with yellow roses on it for her mom. I didn't want it to look like the typical supermarket cake so I did the basket. She loved it!

Coconut pound cake with lime curd filling, coconut flavored fondant and coconut flavored buttercream accents. The spout and handles are gumpaste. Thanks to all the wonderful teapot cakes on CC for the inspiration! Speacial thanks to mommachris, whose lovely teapot cakes made me want to make one... and to cakesbyallison, for the idea of putting the teapot on a fondant handkerchief.

This was my first time making fondant daisies. The client wanted red, orange, and aqua to match the birthday theme. Wasn't sure about this combination but this is what I came up with and was pretty happy with it when I was finished. Dark chocolate w/ cherry filling, and buttercream frosting. Thanks for looking!

Thanks to all of you on this site who've done this cake before me. The party hostess loved all of them and I did my interpretation of your great designs. This is a vanilla cake covered in buttercream and fondant. Flowers, etc. are gumpaste and fondant.

Made this for a friend, for her sister-in-law's baby shower. Everything on the cake is edible. The image is hand-drawn with edible markers on white fondant. The shower invitations were printed with this image. I had no way of reproducing it other than just freehanding it. It is surrounded by fondant pearls. The cake is an 11" x 15" French vanilla pound cake. Two layers of cake with Bavarian cream filling.

I made this cake in a big hurry. LOL. My friend called me in the morning and said she needed a bday cake that night. Sigh. This is a two layer chocolate cake covered in pink fondant with buttercream and luster dust details. The comfy chair is made from rice krispie treats covered in chocolate fondant. The martini, laptop, and ciggies are made from tinted gumpaste. This is her mom's routine after a long shift at the hospital. : )

This is a baby shower cake I made for a friend's wife. She found a picture of a cake that she wanted and I tried my best to duplicate. I had a lot of trouble with the top of the cake. It started to fall over so I had to completely take it apart and try to put it back together. I sent the "mod mom" (which was made out of white chocolate fondant) with her separately since the shower was not for another 6 hours. The cake is a butter cake, covered with buttercream icing, and finished with white and dark chocolate fondant accents.

This is my first belly cake. I made it for my son's teacher. I'm really happy with the end result. The buttercream and MMF flowers are actually pink even though they appear peach in the photo. I used Wilton sports ball pan for the belly and mini wonder molds for the boobs. TFL! (Many thanks to CocoaBlondie for your tips)

Well, this was my first fondant cake, but I didn't attend classes to make this. I am actually a cookie decorator, but I tried my luck with my mother's birthday cake. This was the result, and I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as everyone else enjoyed eating it! More cakes to come in the future I hope!
