Eva & Charles' Wedding Cake & Cupcakes! Their wedding took place at a local nature center inside of a rustic barn and the theme was modern with a simplistic rustic twist. Keeping in line with simplicity, the cake was chocolate and vanilla cake filled with their respective buttecream flavors. What I absolutely loved about this cake was the youthful quirkiness of the birch tree segments balanced out with sophisticated (and interesting!) spherical chocolate flowers. Craspedia, Scabiosa Pods, Globe Thistle, and early Mums are accented with sage leaves and rosemary sprigs paired with a deep grey sash. The cupcakes are chocolate/vanilla bean, double vanilla bean, and cherry lemonade with cream cheese buttercream! Congratulations Eva & Charles!

This cake was made for the Australian Culinary Challenge 2012 in Victoria, wedding cake category. The cake got a bronze medal :)

This is one of the cakes that I made for Cake Central Magazine. I was thrilled and astounded in equal measures when Cake Central approached me to make a cake for the magazine. The inspiration was taken from a picture of a Chanel dress.

I made this faux cake for a photo shoot which was published on the wedding blog Every Last Detail. All decorations are fondant and the ornament on top is made of gumpaste. Thanks for looking!

a display for a bridal event this weekend, where our theme was modern. The bottom tier matched the table clothes exactly; it looked amazing. You can see the vignette on our facebook page. love this one! Airbrushed top tiers, hand painted moonstone luster on bottom. Did the piping by imprinting with a diamond mat and then piping with a small rose tip, maybe 101? GP red flowers and accents

My first baby shower cake. Very chic, for my sister's friend, a young mom to be. It was a brown sugar cake, with fresh strawbery swiss meringue bc. I would have liked the animal print to have blended smoothly into the fondant. But, it was my first time doing it to cover a whole cake and since it was for a b-shower I didn't want the print to be any larger - it was supposed to be a small sized print. I still really loved the cake and the colors in the end :)

Tres leches flavored cake with homemade lemon curd and strawberry butter cream. Butter cream ruffles on the top and bottom tier and random lines on the middle tier. We arranged the flowers ourselves.

10-,8-, and 6-inch round fondant. Topper and flower are gumpaste. I saw the half-circle border done by The Pastry Studio, loved it, and finally got the opportunity to use it.

For my momma...who I love more than words can say! <3 Her favorite colors are black, white and purple... Chocolate buttermilk cake with sliced strawberries and chocolate IMBC..hand-crafted sugar flowers in varying shades of purple, diagonal fondant "ribbons"....sorry, still trying to work on the lighting, lol! :)
