I took a few ideas from this site and created my own version of the Little Mermaid birthday cake. The island is created with a cupcake, then covered with icing, and graham cracker crumbs to look like sand. I purchased the little mermaid and flounder in a package together at Target for about 4.99, thanks to bjfranco for that information!

These are cupcakes that I did for my son's 5th birthday. The characters are all from the Disney Movie, Chicken Little- namely, Chicken Little, Abby the Ugly Duckling, Runt of the Litter, Fish out of Water, and Kirby the alien baby. All made from Buttercream icing.

I really made this one up as I went along. My daughter was set on an Ariel cake and I just could not get a good plan so I made it a simple 2 tier with some underwater critters (fish, crabs, starfish, seaweed) in buttercream. Picture is fuzzy, inlarged, cheap camera phone. lol

Seaweed, starfish, and crabs are dancing around Ariel. I didn't try to smooth the icing, I thought it would look more "ocean like". I'd do that differently. Big hit with the four year olds!

This is a NFSC with MMF. I printed the image directly on the cookie using a cake printer. This was my first order for printed cookies.

Ariel's face and upper body and Flounder are both done in color flow. This was my first time doing color flow. It certainly is time consuming! The sea shells are white chocolate. Play jewelry was also used as treasures in the sea. Thanks for looking!

My little ponies are chocolate transfers. Cake is marble w/ buttercream dream icing. I didn't get it really smooth - it was so humid! but thankfully the chocolate transfers were okay! They were held up by toothpicks in the back so they wouldn't fall during transfer. It was a big hit!

Little Einsteins and Rocket are celebrating my son's second Birthday!
11x13 cake is two vanilla mixes. round bottom of rocket is a 10" cake made from just one (white) mix. The round part of Rocket is a half ball pan and Red Velvet.
All icing is ButterCream and I flavored it Strawberry! YUM! The Rocket Boosters are twinkies. The kids are printed from the computer and reversed on the other side to make them double-sided. I then taped them together very carefully and added toothpicks between

This was for my sister. I think this was my 2nd fondant cake, the little purple circles were an afterthought thing I did. I wish I would've laid down a large flat purple heart underneath it first though, so you didn't see the blue underneath. Strawberry cake with berry filling, and MMF. Pony is a FBCT (My new best friend)

i made these cookies for my daughter's friend's birthday. I took the idea from cookies I saw on this site, but I wish mine turned out half as good as the ones I saw. Eyes and lips gave me a really hard time, and I didn't like them at the end.
