Done for my friends 21st birthday, it was a Chicken Little theme party. Beer bottles falling from the sky instead of acorns. ( I wasn't sure if I should post it under children's cakes or not, it anyone thinks I should change it let me know.)

Heavily borrowed from fellow CCer! Thanx for the tips!! Bottom Yellow with Choc Pudding Filling. Top is White that was layered to resemble rainbow. Buttercream Dream Frosting w/Fondant Accents. A purchased Pony topper was put on at the Party. Melvira Method used to smooth. Swapped this one and my CARS one for scrapbooking, which I hate.

Chocolate cake in Wonder mold w/ MMF and marshmellow filling. 10" cake on bottom is strawberry w/ marshmellow filling and iced in cream cheese icing. Tail is MMF and all other accents are from starbursts. I couldn't find a red head doll pick for little mermaid so it doesn't really look like Ariel. First time w/ a mermaid cake, not totally satisfied but it's ok.

Here is the birthday cake I just did for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She is a HUGE Little Einstein's fan so I made Rocket and then added all of the characters on the windshield with colorflow designs. It is 2 oval pans (13.5") stacked with a wonder mold for the cockpit on top. Engines are made with ice cream cones. I took most of the inspiration for this from www.andreasrecipes.com and just added some more of my own details. Yellow cake for base and chocolate for cockpit with all BC icing.

Ariel is looking a little more 'drag-queenish' than I had hoped, but I'm still happy with how the cake turned out! Gumpaste Ariel, and fondant seashells. Ariel took FOREVER to do.

I found something similar to this picture on yahoo images and decided to make something close to it. I think it turned out very well. After I did this cake, I decided it was time for me to take professional cake decorating classes so wish me luck!

My first attempt at fondant. Covered two red velvet cupcakes and covered in fondant for top layer. Middle two layers are 8" chocolate w/ chocolate mousse filling. Bottom layer is 10" French vanilla. Ariel and Flounder are plastic. Seashells are white choc w/ luster dust (first attempt there too). Sand is crushed graham crackers. Water is piping gel and color. Pearls are just candy and "dinglehopper" is fondant w/ silver luster dust. Comments appreciated.

I did this cake for my niece Jacqueline on her 4th birthday. I am still a novice, this is my 9th cake (so far I have only done cakes for family), but this is my favorite so far. It is a chocolate and white layer cake with chocolate buttercream filling and buttercream icing.

This was for my DD's 4th Birthday. I had to make it extra special because we had to have her party a week later then her actual birthday because her little sister was born! I knew I would be really tired so all the colorflo pieces were done way in advance (butterflies, clouds and rainbow). It's done is snow-white buttercream with royal icing flowers and buttercream borders. She was really excited so it made all the hard work and preperation worth it!

This was for a friends daughter. It is a three layered two tierd cake. The bottom is 10" and the top a 6". Both cakes were vanilla with raspberry filling. I had the ariel cake topper but wanted some of the other characters on the cake so I did sebastian and flounder using the frozen buttercream method. This was a lot of fun to do.

This cake was a nightmare! I tried to do a transfer of a pic of my little pony, but it was too small and turned out to look more like a burro (so says my husband). I then tried to "fix" it by putting the smaller cake on top and going to Walmart and getting the toy. When placing in the box, it cracked. I doctored it up best I could. They will be picking it up sometime today. Good riddance! I really just wanted to cry. Hope they are satisfied.

WASC cake filled with fresh strawberries and Bavarian Cream. Whipped topping, except the pony, which started as a FBCT, but got ruined, so it's piped over with a star tip. Looking at the photo, I see I need to practice my borders more. Well, I'll get there soon enough!
