my attempt at a whimsical cake .which almost ended up in a whimsical disaster, texas weather was not on my side this weekend ,it was very hot ,the icing was falling off the sides of the cake .you can see its very uneven ,i tried the viva towel,hot spatula ,cold spatula nothing worked the icing never crusted ,i have no idea why!!but i think it turned out well. top to bottom ,white chocolate sour cream cake limegreen velvet ,triple chocolate and WASC pink velvet cake . thanks for looking

The idea of the cake came from the invitation itself. Baby carriage on the top is made out of white chocolate. enjoy...

Cake for a friend's birthday. Almost an exact copy of a cake I saw in ACD. White cake with margarita curd filling and coconut BC. Limes, glasses and bow are fondant and the sides were just painted with coloring. Thanks for looking!

This is a wedding cake with a theme of limes. The fruit/roses under the glass is fresh. I got the idea off of here where someone had repicated a book photo? Anyway, the bride LOVED the idea. We did the cake in white chocolate plaques overlapping each other & then the glass vase full of limes & roses with another bouquet of limes and roses on top. My camera did kind of a bad job for some reason. Plus there was a light directely above it that was glaring. But it was a pretty cool cake.

This cake was designed from many photos of others cakes in which the bride pointed out all the different elements she liked. It definately reflected her funky and fun wedding in teal, lime green, chocolate brown and tourqouise. Her groomsmen wore brown suits with paisley printed Vera Bradley ties and vest. Her reception was on an art gallery terrace which fit her theme perfectly. I had so much fun making this cake. TFL. :)

Client wanted my pink & brown cake but with pinks & lime green instead. I also switched the ABC style of the name & the design of the tiers. I really wanted to be able to show two different cakes in my portfolio. I think this was a 10 & a 6 (I think :lol: ). I was having trouble with the colors so I found a piece of scrapbook paper to match! I think I am going to put together a "color" book made up with pieces of scrapbook paper to have at consults.

I found a margarita cake recipe that I wanted to try so I made these to bring to work for Cinco de Mayo. They are filled with whipped cream and topped with lime IMBC. I used my new rainbow disco dust on top but it is difficult to see how glittery it really was from the picture.

Cupcakes to match flower on the box. You can't really see but the cupcakes also have green and blue sprinkles to match the ribbon and flower.

1 Box White Cake Mix (Basically follow box instructions but add Lime Jello and replace water with lemon-lime soda) 1 Box Lime Jello 4 Egg Whites 1/3 C. Oil 1 1/3 C. 7-Up or Sprite Frosting - Your favorite buttercream with a jar of maraschino cherries beat in. Include the juice. I've been thinking about trying this because I love cherry limeade and thought it would be great in cupcake form. This recipe turned out the best. Spray your cupcake liners because even with liners they are sticky.

This cake was designed for a 9 year olds birthday. She rides horses and has a white dog named Cocoanut. This cake was inspired by another CC'ers cake . I am really happy with the turn out!
