This was my first attempt at carving a topsy-turvy cake. Top tier was strawberry cake, bottom was confetti, both tiers filled and frosted with vanilla buttercream, covered and decorated with fondant; topper made of sugarpaste. Cake was designed by mommy-to-be from some bedding she bought for the nursery.

A friend asked me to make a gluten free "pretty cake" for her co-workers birthday. I've made several petal effect cakes and I saw one similar with these bright colored flowers on here (can't remember who to give credit to...sorry!) and loved it so thanks for the inspiration!

All Butter cream. Added feathers and some pink bling to make it girly looking. Easy and fun.

I LOVED making this cake! My first attempt at zebra stripes (among a few other techniques). I didn't allow enough time for the topper to set (oops!) so the numbers didn't turn out as expected. I'm still learning and will gladly accept any tips if you have them. TFL :)

Colorful cake for my sisters 18th birthday. The 1 started to break so I had to just lay it on the top after I took the pictures. Fondant decorations and bow.

Lime Green Zebra cake. Yes lime gree, stupid camera..lol.. Anyway, its Butter Pound Cake with BBC and MMF. I painted on the stripes instead of using MMF. It was heavy enough already. TFL.

For a girl who has "aged out" of our local foster home and is going to a transitional program. She asked for lime green and hot pink, so that's what she got! Scratch white cake with BC.

My niece requested a zebra and peacock cake for her 11th birthday. I made a strawberry and chocolate zebra stripe top layer, a fresh strawberry middle layer and a chocolate and french vanilla zebra striped bottom layer. They all loved the cake and were very excited to see the zebra stripe inside! Everything except the feather topper is fondant. I used vanilla butter cream inside.

Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream, covered in lime green fondant, and zebra accents. It was for a girl who was turning 13, and mother wanted lime green, zebra, and her daughter was into cheerleading and swim team, so I tried to incorporate all. Thanks to Macsmom for the help with the tapered cake look.

This cake was inspired by Kathy's Kakes LLC. I made this for a friend. It is 4 alternating layers of key lime and vanilla cake with a key lime pie filling between the cake layers.

MDS made this for me . It was a 9 inch curved round top, iced in BC with fondant. He used my cricut cake machine to cut out the skulls and wings. I purchased the T and covered in stones.

Bright colors to match shower theme - I made 10 of these! 12 cupcakes in each - used 5oz. plastic cups stapled together then taped in bowl - so easy and secure!

I had 48 hours notice on this cake! 12", 10" and 8" hearts. Bottom tier chocolate, top 2 cherry vanilla with buttercream frosting. Flowers gumpaste.

Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Good thing you can color cream cheese! Flowers are fondant with dragee centers.

This cake was my gift to my very dear friend on her wedding day. Her theme was black and white demask with green accents. Even the cake inside followed the theme as it was pistachio cake with vanilla BC. Had a great time making this glamorous cake for her special day!!! Congrats guys!!!

Mom wanted "Tangled" theme, but ultimately decided that just doing bright colors would work best! So, with her 4 colors in mind, this is my creation! Chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream filling, and vanilla BC with fondant accents finish. TFL!

I love to make cakes for couples who aren't afraid of color on their big day! The topper and the flowers were provided by the couple, which really put the finishing touches on the cake. The cake itself is iced in buttercream with fondant stripes

This was for an outdoor Wedding I did not to long ago. Wasn't sure how I'd like the set up not being stacked, but I was pleased with the results. The Bride loved it.
