Sorry the picture's a bit out of focus... By the time I'd uploaded my digital pictures and realized it, the cake had been eaten... Oh well. It sure tasted good! This is actually a cake I made to practice for my sister's wedding cake. Lime green is her favorite color, and she wants the music to "All I Have To Do is Dream" by the Everly Brothers on it.

This is the final of a wedding cake class. Toba Garrett's moist yellow cake with French vanilla buttercream and lemon/lime curd filling. Covered in fondant with white chocolate roses and leaves. I'm ok with it, but I understand where I went wrong and will keep on improving. TFL

Airbrushed buttercream blue, made dark blue circles on cake with airbrush. Then used
clear piping gel to trace over dark blue circles-giving the wet bubbles look. Used blue and
white color striping techniques with a star tip to make spashing waves around Sponge Bob
figurine. This cake was awesome to make! I wanted to keep it for my own birthday.

This cake was designed from many photos of others cakes in which the bride pointed out all the different elements she liked. It definately reflected her funky and fun wedding in teal, lime green, chocolate brown and tourqouise. Her groomsmen wore brown suits with paisley printed Vera Bradley ties and vest. Her reception was on an art gallery terrace which fit her theme perfectly. I had so much fun making this cake. TFL. :)

This cake was designed for a 9 year olds birthday. She rides horses and has a white dog named Cocoanut. This cake was inspired by another CC'ers cake . I am really happy with the turn out!

White Almond Sour Cream with buttercream (not chocolate, just tinted brown). Brown with highlighted colors for flowers and dots. I hope they like it. They wanted something different but for a man and it is hard to come up with a buttercream design for a man and not have it look too girly.

This cake was done for a bridal shower, and the wedding colors are pink and lime green. It was three tiers made covered in buttercream with fondant accents. The cake topper was made for wire that I curled and added balls of fondant.

8" & 6" WVSC with Creme Bouquet (first time using CB) covered with BCD using Sweetex for the first time. I really liked it, but now I can't get it during the summer months...UGH!! Choco Pan Gerbera Daisy (first time using daisy cutter) accents. Not pleased with the way ChocoPan doesn't harden. I still love the way the cake turned out. TFL!! Gotta love CC

My daughter has a summer birthday, so she brought this to school to celebrate her "un-birthday" with her class. The school requests that cakes be sent in pre-cut, so I really didn't bother with a fancy design. Cookie cake decorated in buttercream with fondant flowers and banner.

I have my first wedding cake order due in a couple of weeks, and I needed to practice making one, transporting and stacking it. So, I made one and brought to work with me. My co-workers were very pleased :) The bottom tier is a dummy (as it will be on the real wedding cake). The sizes are 6, 8, 10, 12 inches. The design was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Always wanted to try making calla lilys. All decorations are made out of mmf. The leaves and lines they are attached to are RI.

The cake was request to have the same color of polka dots as the little birthday girl's dress. This was such a fun cake to do. The pic doesnt show just how bright and colorful it truly was. Buttercream icing with fondant decorations and airbrushed with super pearl dust.

This was for my sister's 12th birthday. The circles were done in royal icing on wax paper and after they dried they were put on the cake. The cake is iced in buttercreme. She told me she wanted a pink and lime green cake. So I did the best I could with what I had. LOL

Based loosely on a design by Sandralita, who cake is much prettier than mine could ever be. I made chocolate MMF and lots of black paste for the flowers & ribbon. The shell border is (gasp!) Betty Crocker. The lime green lettering and white icing is BC and the cake is chocolate. For my sister's BFF's 14th birthday

I made this cake for a teacher friend's wedding. I was planning on delivering the cake, then sitting in and watching the wedding, but ended up putting out all the food and making the punch, b/c the ladies who were supposed to do it didn't show up! Thank goodness, they only had a few finger foods and the punch was easy. This is my fifth wedding cake and I got lots of compliments! 14, 10, and 6 inch tiers. All buttercream with gumpaste bow.

I have a wedding order later this summer (08/08/08) and they are having lime green as the wedding color. I searched and searched to try and find a nice wedding design with green, but had no luck. Then it hit me, why not turn things around a bit and cover the whole thing in green and then use white accents instead of the more ordinary white cover. I really love how this turned out :) All mmf, the white on the side is imprinted with a textured rolling pin and dusted with pearl dust. The pearls are also mmf.
