The designer for the Dining Room on the tour gave me the colors for the room and asked that I create a cake to compliment it. China was Red, gold and yellow on a white background. Walls peachy orange, draperies were orange-irridescing to gold. Cushion on window seat was Leopard print fabric. Top tier sprayed orange then brushed with gold lustre dust. Bottom tier sprayed yellow, diamonds/stripes sprayed red, royal icing scrolls painted gold. Drape was airbrused freehand in leopard design. Red flowers atop.

10" and 6" round. Trees are pretzels with candy melt tops. Monkeys, leopard, and crocodile are candy melts. Chocolate rocks, waterfall is buttercream. Lots of fun making this with my daughter! Got the idea from many creative pictures in the gallery. Thanks for the inspiration!

This was for a lady who loves to play the Wild Africa slot machine. I didn't have enough notice to make a sculpted cake, so we compromised with an edible image of the machine logo. The frosting is BC and the leaves and animals around the sides are fondant.

This was made for a young woman turning 25. This one has special meaning as I have
named this "Donna Mae". Donna was my dear friend who I lost to cancer...she was nuts
about leopard prints! Spots were all hand painted, fondant & ribbon around the base. I put
sugar pearls around the border and fur trim for fun! Thanks for lookng.

Humidity is NOT our friend! Man what a nightmare time I had with the lid and tissue paper in the insane humidity yesterday. Finally pulled it all together at the last minute, litteraly! Fondant/gumpaste/pastillage shoe. I really wanted to keep this shoe instead of letting it go to the customer! TFL!

Buttercream and white chocolate modelling clay. Unfortunately I did not anticipate the car to warm up so much that day; the modelling clay softened then broke. So the bow is a bit flatten. Tiger print on yellow, leopard print on orange, black buttercream panther lounging on top of bow. Daughter was thrilled despite the damage.

This cake stands just over 40cm high. The base is 2 x 12" contoured cake tins.. I was really looking forward to doing this cake... something different.... sadly though I didn't ask anybody for help or hints on how to do the leopard print,,... because it certainly doesn't look as I had imagined it looking!!! Apart from that little disaster, I am very happy with it... and I like the python on the top. he is made of just fondant! Zebra stripes done with a stencil to cut out fondant shapes, and then p
