The Mother- to- Be wanted a Jungle Theme cake without animals. The top bow is gumpaste, along with the large leaves. The customer was on a budget, so instead of hand panted or fondant animal prints, we went with edible image sheets.

I made this for a little girl's 1st birthday. The design was based on the party supplies (1st birthday diva). The bottom is supposed to be leopard print, but I also wanted it to be glittery looking so I used edible sugar. It is 6" and 8" rounds done in BC. I also made a separate smash cake to go along with the main cake.

Thanks to all CCers out there that did animal print cakes, it helped me out quite a bit! 8" and 10" rounds, carved sides, buttercream covered, fondant zebra stripes. I usually don't like putting things on my cakes that's not edible, but this was a rush order, and I like it!! ; )

12", 10", and 8" all chocolate with strawberry filling, frosted in butter cream and accented with fondant. They wanted a different animal print for each layer and they also requested those colors. I added the white roses. The middle layer is hand painted leopard print. The tiger and zebra pattern is fondant and airbrushed black. TFL

Great little yellow cake with cookies and cream filling. Carved and decorated with fondant and gumpaste. This was pink and black not purple. I don't know why I couldn't get the pics to come out with black but oh well.

Animal print purse cake - Fruit punch cake with buttercream and fondant icing and accents. Edible print sheets. Baked in book pan to eliminate carving, however the cake was too skinny to stand straight up. Also learned the prints do not match up, unless they are going around the cake... thus the fondant strips to hide the seams. 20 servings

This is my first time working with fondant, it is for my cousins 30th birthday she wanted leopard on the botton tier and the top tier to look like fishnet stockings, I did my best. The cake is chocolate covered in fondant and royal icing accents, and feather boas. I should really take a class cause I had so many issuses with the fondant. Thankfully CC has so much great advice and was a big help in walking me through the cake. But with practice I hope my future cakes will look as flawless as many of the cakes on CC. Thanks everyone for all the ideas and help:)

Hand painted leopard spots on pink iced cupcakes *:) Jocelyn was a very happy camper, so was I! The cake in the middle was her favorite--chocolate cake with a delicious homemade chocolate mousse wrapped in a homemade delicious fondant tinted pink! Topped with jewels for a princess!

A lot of firsts for me on this one...first time painting the leopard print and first time making animals like these. All fondant covered cakes and figures. Inspired by a lot of cakes here on CC. Thanks so much for looking! The party was for a dad and his son...so I made a dad and son monkey for the top and wrapped the dad's arm around the son for a little personal touch!
