This is my second time working with fondant. The cake is for a breast cancer awareness fundraiser at work. I love the look of the leaves, but as you can see, my frosting needs some work. I hope it sells!

This is my first cake. No classes. I watched a dvd and read a lot on the web. The two top layers are cake. The rest are dummies I iced. This was my wedding cake (renewed vows 15 years married). I ran out of time and couldn't do the leaves on the bottom layer. We forgot the flowers and so we didn't do the fountain. Everyone said cake was very good and moist. Some things happened I didn't expect, but that was just lack of experience. I am happy with how my first came out.

This was the final arrangement we made in the gumpaste class. A few broken flowers and some not so good but this course was my first attempt...lots of fun. Need huge amounts of practice at arrangements...any suggestions welcome. We didn't do any colouring of flowers other than colouring the gumpaste.

Okay, here's my turn at making one of those bundt pan pumpkins. The leaves are fondant brushed with luster dust. The pumpkin was first covered in bc then fondant, brushed with copper luster dust. The stem is an ice cream cone, brushed with Wilton brown gel color. It was one of the easier cakes I've made, thanks to JulieBugg and Ksue's instructions! I really enjoyed it. :-D

I can't seem to make enough of these! Everyone really loves them. Almond NFSC with almond royal icing and Toba Garrett's glace. These are a bit time consuming to decorate, but I think they are worth the trouble.

b/c icing, mmf leaves, french vanilla/yellow 2 layer cake. Was made for my Pa's 74th birthday. Fall theme, hubby picked maple leaves (from our trees)and we traced them and made sure we pressed leaves into the fondant, making veins. Was relatively easy.

We went to a family bonfire tonight to celebrate four family birthdays. This cake is an 8" round on a 10" square. Both are white cakes with milk chocolate covered toffee bits and then filled with WBH House Buttercream with the same toffee bits mixed in. Then they are covered with ganache. The bonfire itself (flames and sparks) are chocolate transfers, as are the trees. The leaves and rocks around the bonfire are MMF. I also sprinkled crushed chocolate under the fire to look like dirt.

This is what I offer for Thanksgiving, but, this particular order was for a baby shower. The honoree just wanted regular decorations, nothing "baby-like".

I was going to "swirl" together the two colours, but I thought it might be hard to read the guests' names....so I just swirled them in the centre. Took a LONG time to do all 150 with two piping bags and a skewer, but they came out well.

This is a bunt cake pan, inspired by the buncake pumpkins entered in the 2006 Halloween Contest. I'd never thought of this idea, but loved it so much I had to make one myself! So I made a chocolate and white cake pumpkin covered in fondant and decorated with fondant leaves and acorns.

This is one is probably my least fave of my latest cakes. It's spice cake w/ caramel apple filling and cinnamon buttercream again. I chose to do this design for my office's Halloween celebration mainly because I wanted to practice basketweave again. Anyone have tricks to get the end to match up to the beginning?

I did this one for a cake raffle at work. It is an almond/butter cake with brandy syrop. I used almond bc and chocolate fudge for the details. The BC was supposed to be "copper" but it turn out to be more of a peach tone. I have to thank jsmith for the inspiration.
Thanks for looking!

I got this design from the Wilton website. It's called Gobble It Up. I like the way it came out but it was alittle time consuming. ;-)

This was my first experience using fondant - ever! The cake is chocolate with chocolate filling and icing with fondant leaves and acorns, dusted with gold luster dust. And yes, I know, I forgot to cross my "T"! Thankfully everyone ate it before they noticed!

I made this cake for work for fun but it looks more like a wedding cake so I thought it best to upload in this category. (I made the topper myself) It is devishly good chocolate cake w/ strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. 14", 10", & 6" rounds. The leaves are made from fondant and are supposed to be red/orangish red mixed together.

Small bundt cakes, pumpkin spice. I didn't want there to be loads of icing, so they are not completely covered. The stems are kit kat candy bars. Sheet cake is also pumpkin spice. Leaves are a cookie cutter, pressed on the cake, outlined in buttercream, then I used icing spray.
