This is my first wedding cake, which I did as the finale cake for a Wilton course. The top layer is red velvet, and the bottom layer is white. I used fondant to lay over it and for the roses, and used buttercream for the cornelli lace and for the shells. I also used candy silver balls for decoration!

This cake was made as a Wedding Shower Cake for a co-worker, just before she ran off to get married. She saved the top layer to take with her to the chappel. Made entirely of homemade
buttercream icing. Artificial flowers on top (from her bouquet selection). Signature patterned
background (wide Cornelli lace) on bottom layer

A friend asked me to make her boyfriend's daughter a birthday cake. What luck I was in! Not only was I about to make a cake for my class, but the white icing and roses on the Final cake in course 1 was exactly what she wanted. So, I made a combination of German chocolate and Devil's food cakes and layered it with vanilla pudding and slices of banana (as the birthday girl requested). Other than having to squeeze in everything they wanted on the cake, I was very pleased with the outcome.

Thanks to all of the inspiration here! I tried 2 things I've wanted to for a bit, a candy barrel cake and a cookie layer thank you raquel1! Let me tell you the candy barrel was amazingly easy to do and the cookie layer drew rave reviews, several people said it was the best cake they've ever tasted. If you're looking for something new and exciting try the cookie layer! Triple chocolate fudge cake (1 layer torted) layered with chocolate BETTERcream and PB cookie. Rich, Sinful, Delightful!

This is a birthday cake for a girl who loves bright colors. She absolutely loves the MMF, so the cakes are covered with it. All of the decorations are MMF as well.

For my daughter's 6th birthday. It actually fell apart on the way to the party and I had to "glue" it back together again with icing. This photo was taken after it was "glued". The icing is butter cream, the flowers are MMF. The columns are part of a Wilson set they started selling around 2007.

another huge cake if not abit over the top but it is her 21st after all, bottom layer is coconut sponge, the next is choc sponge and the top 2 are plain sponge. all covered in fondent, we did pipe round the bottoms with royle icing to start with which was to thin so lost its shape, so we had to scrape it off and try something else as no shops where open at 12am on a sun to get some more icing sugar! so cake was not as we planned but we were happy with it in the end. :-) tfl

I made this cake for clients. I'm a Realtor by day, wannabe cake decorator by night! This was my first "big" cake, under estimated alot of things, but my clients and their guests loved it and thought it was from a bakery! The "H" is for their last name. Buttercream frsoting, chocolate and vanilla cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. Fresh gerber daisies. I'm still learning and need lots more practice! But thank you for looking.
