My first 3D cake, well kind of my second because I helped my DH with the army tank. Not bad for being the first. Ladybug is a cupcake, top for body and part of the bottom for face. Used Wilton Dancing Daisies pan. All buttercream except for spots, legs and antennae.

This was the adult cake for a 1 year old's Birthday party. I got the idea from someone else on here. I wish I had remembered who. Anyway, I didn't do as good of job as they did. The ladybugs were fondant, but everything else was BC over white cake. 10"

The 1 year old's cake for her birthday party. Carved it out of a 6" pan for grass base and the Ladybug is from a 4" springform pan. Chocolate Cake with BC icing. Star tips all over. She demolished it.

I made this cake for my son's kindergarten graduation. On the chalk board I added all of the kids names from his class. The gator is the mascot of his school and the ladybug was one of the topics that they learned about. I will add one more picture of the back of the cake.

This is a ladybug cake I made for my daughter's 3rd b-day. I used coolwhip as the icing and colored sugar to make it red. I used non-pariels for the eyes-with red hots 'glued' on w/ icing and malted milk balls for the spots. It was angelfood ice cream cake w/ sherbet in the center. I cheated and bought an angelfod cake that I trimmed for the bottom & filled the center and baked a choc. cake in a bowl for the top. Nextime I will use all angelfood cake. It froze better than the oil cake recipe. She LOVED it.

This is the cake I made for my mom's birthday. She just recently found out she's pre-diabetic so I used a recipe for sugar free icing I found here at CC. It didn't taste bad, but I like the real stuff better. I did make the flowers and ladybugs with mmf. She was happy with it and didn't feel guilty about eating it so that's all that matters! Thanks for looking!

The Bumble bee says to the ladybug--"Will you BEE my LADY?"--in honor of valentines day I made this cake, and it will be my first photo on cake central. The bee and ladybug's body was made from the sports ball pan, their head from cupcakes, their features(eyes, antennas, nose, mouth, legs, wings & body decor) is made from fondant. The grass is coconut flakes with green food coloring added. The cake is a choc raspberry w/ choc rasp ganash.

I made this cake for my own baby shower. Since I have never made a cake for myself yet, I requested that I get to make one however I wanted to. I had so much fun with this cake. It is a 9" round cake iced in buttercream. The ladybug was made with half of the sports ball pan and covered in fondant. Our baby's nursery is decorated in red and white ladybugs.
Thanks for looking!

I made these to give to the guests that came to my baby shower. I bagged them up and tied a little tag on them thanking them for coming. They were a huge hit. They are the No Fail Sugar cookies, iced with royal icing.

For a first birthday. I made a 6 inch cake and then put the left over batter into the pampered chef measuring cup to make the lady bug bump. I used a glob of MMF for the face then covered in buttercream. (cheated on the black and red, bought the wilton pre made)

This is a two tier stacked cake I made for a Bridal Shower the hostess at our church was sick of doing pink themes so she was thinking daisies and ladybugs. This is what I came up with. Thanks to folks on CC for the ideas for painting my puddles. And also doctoring my cake mix!! The owner of our local coffee shop/ bakery thought it was scratch!!! So fun to say well actually NO! :o Real ribbon bow and gumpaste daisies.
