This was for one of my close friend's daughter's birthday. All she requested was a summery cake with a sun on it. I've been wanting to do the little fruity fairies in Debbie Browns book, so I did a couple along with some flower fairies. 10/6 stack. Iced in BC. Decorations are fondant, except for butterflies which are gumpaste and the clouds that are marshmallows. The wings on the dragonflies are just paper, as I didn't plan enough in advance to dry some. They were blowing in the wind a good bit.

Made this cake for the same customer as the last pregnant lady cake I made. This time for a different shower. She had the 4D ultrasound pics done of her baby and wanted me to display it on her cake. I think it turned out really neat. Everything iced in b/c. Arms and legs are made of fondant and pic is printed on rice paper and then glued with piping gel to a thin sheet of fondant to prevent the picture from ripping since it was not laying flat. I am thrilled with the results of this cake!!

Inspiration =Beanyhunter's Lady Bug Cake.
This is 2 9" layers of Golden Vanilla Betty Crocker mix with Simply Fruit strawberry for the filling. Iced completely with buttercream icing. The base is a very pale yellow, green brush striped with a darker green for the vines and leaves. The lady bugs are all piped with tip 12 for the body and chocolate/black with tip 2 for the details.

I made this cake for my daughter Makayla for her first birthday. I decided to do pink and brown because I thought it would be better for a baby girl than doing black and red. it was only my second try with fondant and i had no help so it is not perfect but i did my best.

The antenna's are half lollipop sticks and a little fondant tip airbrushed, and the name is fondant cutouts airbrushed and dotted black! TFL!!!

All done in buttercream. I should have done better on the flowers
and butterflies. The antennas were put on after she got to the shower,
as the cake went from Kansas to Texas.

I got an order for a lady who loves watching the Redskins and drinking beer. So this is what I came up with. The couch is rkt covered in choc. fondant. The tv and table are gumpaste and I put a laminated pic of the redskins on the tv. The cake I covered in a thick coat of buttercream and poked it with a clean pastry brush to make it look like shag carpet. On the board I put fondant I made to look like wood.
