This is one of my first cakes. Two layer chocolate with BC icing. The basketballs on the side are little scrapbook embellishments. The top BB goal is part of a tabletop BB game. Didn't realize the glass was smudgy either!

6' choc with bc and mmf elmo with bc piped for the fur. I just needed practice and decided to make this for a friend's daughter that just got out of the hospital. I thought the squiggly border would look like crayon scribbles.

I recommend decorating a cake with a friend who also decorates. We both learned a little something from each other. I did this cake with my first piping transfer. It was fun

This is the first cake I have done like this. This is also the first time that I have cut fondant. I was not very pleased with the end result, but they loved it. Her favorite is butterflies and she almost cried. She did not want to cut it.

My 9 yr old niece and 8 yr old little sister decorated this cake last night. It is a peanut butter cake with peanut butter icing and dark chocolate ganache. They used marshmallow fondant to make all of the shapes and figures. I helped them hold the decorating bag when making the border and let them squeeze it. They had a blast and I barely had time to take the pic before they started eating it.

My seven-year old son made this cake for me for my 40th birthday. He loves to watch me decorate, and he tries everything I show him. Daddy baked and iced the cake, but he did all the decorating and the words by himself!

I cut the face out of a 9x13 cake. Iced the whole thing in red, then added the white icing for the eyes and then piped on the black to ouline and to make the mask. My 5 year old son and 8 year old nephew were so happy!

I cut this one out of a 9x13 also and then iced it in the red and white. My son was a red Power Ranger freak at the time, so this cake was a hit for him.

My niece is a huge reptile and animal lover, but her favorite are snakes. The last two years in a row she has asked for a snake cake for her birthday. This is last years snake. I cut it out in the snake shape of a 9x13 cake. I sprayed green icing around the bottom of the snake for the "grass", iced the snake with light chocolate icing, then piped on the design with darker chocolate icing. For the eyes I used brown M-n-M's and the tongue was made out of a piece of twisty red licorice.

THis Bubble gum machine is an easy to personalize cake. You can choose Cost of gumballs by age of person, and I used the colors from the cake plates and streamers as my base colors.

This is the first three dimesional cake I have ever made...although it wasn't as good as I would have liked, it wasn't too bad either! My Nephew's Name is Dominic, so I called this truck the Dominator! WE also printed off Pics of monster trucks for placemats, and laminated them so that my nephew could take them home and enjoy them. I didn't use a mold I actually used two loaf pans and carved it.

I love this cake. I found the picture in a coloring book, cut the sheet cake around the window frame, frosted it in chocolate, and freehanded the design. The flowers and butterfly are chocolate that I piped onto wax paper and transferred. I think this is my favorite cake so far! Isn't she cute?

This was for a set of twins turning three that were on a Lion kick inspired by Madagascar. The facial features are made of tootsie rolls and the party hat is a snowcone cup (I was out of ice cream cones).
