This is the larrymobile from veggietales... my son loves this and has been bugging me to make a cake for his birthday... not 'til Oct. And well, mine is today, so this is my cake for my 39th birthday! I painted fondant, because I didn't want to piece it together...next time i'll do that.

I made this cake for my nephews 4th birthday. Bob the builder, tool box and tools are made out of fondant. He really loved the cake and of course wanted to eat all the tools right away.

I've made this one before but instead of the entire thing being made out of fondant, I used real lollipops, spice drops and mints.

The bottom layer is a 10" round and the top is a 6" round. This design is in the Wilton book "Celebrate with Fondant". :-)

This is a cupcake cake for my son to take to school tomorrow for his 7th birthday. The robot comes from a picture that he drew and I transfered to the top of the cake using a coursage pin and then outlined and colored with buttercream. This is my first cupcake cake.

I got this idea from another CCer's photo. It was supposed to be a Dora cake, but I forgot to include the toppers. The cake is actually covered in buttercream with MMF accents in typical Dora party theme colors. They liked it anyway.

Two Tier vanilla with BC and MMF fondant. MMF figures... smoosh courtesy of my EX who NEEDED to move it after I put it up... (lucky I like him)
My son's design and he and his guests were happy with it. I am getting there. I did put a request into the eight year old that next time the drawing and what he wants be submitted prior to 10p the day before his birthday. lol Thanks for looking

This is after it was moved and after a little one got to it... But, they had fun and that was my objective. I learned a lot and have a way to go, but the kids liked it and that made my day... :)

This is my 5-year-old granddaughter's very first decorated cake. She designed this all by herself, down to putting a shawl on it. It's a mini-doll cake with MMF. She's quite proud of herself.

My daughter is more creative than I expected. I let her make a vanilla pudding pie (I know, it's not cake) and she made it her own by putting marshmallows in the puddding and a chocolate syrup smiley face on top. I was really proud of her for being so creative with it. Not everyone would attempt the marshmallows, or expect it to be good afterward.

This was for my son's best friend's 8th birthday. I made a sheet cake and cut and stacked them then placed cupcakes on top to look like Lego's. Frosted in buttercream. (*I already uploaded this last night, but it was a small picture and when I tried to make it bigger, I couldn't get the picture to appear, so 2nd try here!*)

These are NFSC with RI. There were about 16 "kids" and I actually made the teacher as well but she did not fit. Hope you like it.

Chocolate cake in Wonder mold w/ MMF and marshmellow filling. 10" cake on bottom is strawberry w/ marshmellow filling and iced in cream cheese icing. Tail is MMF and all other accents are from starbursts. I couldn't find a red head doll pick for little mermaid so it doesn't really look like Ariel. First time w/ a mermaid cake, not totally satisfied but it's ok.

Tried to make a leaf cake using the heart shaped pan. Using a bundt pan, I made the caterpillar. I cut it in half and placed the pieces opposite of each other. Chocolate chips for the feet, M&M's for eyes, licorice for antennaes.

This was only the 2nd cake i ever did.... i did it for my daughter's 1st birthday party (dec 2006). It took me a long time but it was well worth it! Everyone's jaws dropped when they seen it so i guess it was good. I used a french vanilla cake filled with strawberry preserves and the icing is all vanilla. I had a lot of fun with this but cried when i had to cut her! The pan i picked up at a yard sale for 25 cents (it is the old school strawberry shortcake pan from 1986).

I wanted to do something bright and childish this morning. It was inspired by some of the Baby E. cakes on this site (thanks guys!) and is yellow with buttercream. Any comments or suggestions are welcome! Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Made this for a family party that my work was putting on. I thought I would try doing a FBCT that was level with the other icing. I don't know if I would do it again. It was easy enough, just used a lot of icing, and I remember it being hard to smooth out. I also put those cake sparkles on the cake (for pixie dust) but I don't think it really adds anything

Thanks to customcakesbysharon for the idea for this cake. This is only the 4th cake I've ever made. bottom is 10" round rice krispy treat. Top is a wonder mold. I put barbie on top because I didn't feel confident in my skills yet to make her tail. Seaweed, fish, starfish and coral are MMF. Shells are royal icing and purple grass is buttercream. Icing was too soft and wouldn't stand up. I'm definetely still learning.
