I'm not too pleased with how this turned out. The lettering turned out awful and the border on the near side started drooping. I must have been too far to the edge but noticed too late.

My 5 year old has been playing with the left over icing in bags - and there was quite a bit when I finished Spongebob and his friends. So she went to town on 2 dozen cupcakes. Notice Saturn with the rings, a sunset, rainbow, clouds (in white and blue), a grasshopper and flowers. She has caught my decorating bug! She is decorating my birthday cake with my friend/business partner - can't wait to see!

I made this cake for my nephew who is fascinated with construction vehicles. I made the road with crush oreo cookes; I used brown sugar for the sand and the rocks are chocolate candy rocks! He loved his cake, needless to say he didn't want to have it cut!!

This cake caused some challenges for me. I made it before I learned how important using a firm cake for sculpting was. The cake I used for this was softer, and did not hold the support stakes well. both cakes are covered in buttercream, and I used real chocolate chip cookies instead of making them from fondant or gumpaste. the beak and the eyes were made of fondant.

I made this cake for my sister's baby shower. I used a 3-D mold to make the bottle and the booties, but next time I will try the bootie template I found on CC. Also, using the 3-D mold (from sugarcraft.com) from gumpaste makes a big seam that was difficult to cover up. Next time, I'll try to sculpt it myself. all the accents on the bag are made from fondant. Tassles made using a clay gun.
