I did one similar to this previously in pink & black. This was for a surprise 50th birthday party. I airbrushed this with two different blues, I wish they were lighter. I then used silver shimmer and pearl shimmer on it. I had blue color EVERY WHERE. I love the airbrush but not the mess it makes! I used an impression mat for the design on the shoe. Comments welcomed!

Finally had an opportunity to try to make a GP shoe. I followed the directions in the Confetti Cakes book. Cake is 12 x 9, cut in half & stacked, covered in fondant. Tissue paper is gp dusted with luster dust. Shoe is GP painted with silver highlighter, dragees across the straps. Top of shoe bok is cardboard covered in fondant. Edible images for the Jimmy Choo logo on shoes & box lid. Very fun to make!

Made this for one of my girlfriends 30th surprise birthday party and it was my first ever shoe attempt (very pleased with the outcome). Cake is Neopalitian Tiered (White Top, Strawberry Middle, and Chocolate Bottom), covered in SatinIce Fondant, Shoe is Gumpaste, and I used real ribbon....had a heck of a time trying to use SatinIce for those details and finally gave up. Thanks for looking!

This is my cake for the "2008 Losers Throwdown". It won 2nd place! Congrats to Tina for winning 1st place!
The cake was Pineapple cake with fresh pineapple filling, pineapple bc then covered in white choc fondant. Mask, high heel shoes, wired balls & roses were gumpaste. All other designs were made of fondant or fondant/gumpaste mix. Small details were piped in Royal Icing. This was my daughters 30th bday cake which we celebrated the same day the cake was due for the ThrowDown. Thanks for looking!:)

These are all of the sugar pieces I used on my Black & White Affair cake. The cake was made for the TD contest AND my daughters 30th birthday :) As a final birthday gift to her I carefully glued all pieces from the cake into this Shadow box for her. I think she loves this gift more than any other!! I just hope it will last for many many years to come for her.

First off I have to give all the credit to bakinccc, she helped me soooo much and if it wasn't for her I couldn't have done these. Thank you sooooo much!!!!! And a thanks to GeminiRJ for the heart cookie idea. And I have to give my DH credit for making me the high heel cookie cutter. I don't know what I would do without him(= These were for a 7th birthday party and they we're a big hit. It was the cutest party I've seen. She gave these away instead of goodie bags. I love that idea. They are sugar cookies with Antonia74's RI. I made 60 cookies and was so proud of the way they came out. Thanks for looking (=

This is a cake carved into the shape of the Espadrilles shoes. The heel is about 3 1/2 inches tall if that gives an idea of the size. FUN cake to do! Next time I will do a bigger one! Key Lime Cake recipe.

My daughter is having a Wizard of Oz birthday party and wanted to bring Dorothy shoes to class for favors. This is what we came up with. They are my own sugar cookie recipe, glaze icing and lots of red sanding sugar.

A gal gave me her shoe to copy! I took pix of the shoe, made a paper pattern, then cut the shoes out of a sheet, a small sq and small round, pieced them together & covered with fondant. She was delighted :) Here's the link to the pattern: http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1405916

Friend requested a simple & small cake for her mom. She said she loves shoes. I just bought a new mold so of course I gave it a shot & hated that both sides didn't glue together great, so I only used half of it on the cake. Painted it with luster dust & covered the cake in ganache. She loved it & so now I hope her mom does too =) TFL!
