This is a 1/2 sheet vanilla cake with buttercream icing. The handle on the guitar was made out of Rice Krispie treats. The whammy bar was made from a straw covered in aluminum foil. This was done for a client's daughter turning 11 who was a Guitar Hero player and huge fan. She was totally shocked when she got this cake. It makes it worth all the work to see the faces light up with happiness!

12 x 18 strawberry sheet cake with cream cheese icing. I really did not think the frozen transfer would work with cream cheese icing after reading comments on CC but I thought I'd at least give it a try. I am so glad I did. I used "edencakes" crusting cream cheese icing in the CC recipes. I added about 2 T. powdered sugar per 1/2 cup of icing to stiffen it for the colors I used in the transfer and borders.

This cake was made for a friend's son's 5th birthday.

This is my first attempt at chocolate MMF and I definately learned a lot along the way. Yellow/vanilla cake, chocolate pudding filling, covered in chocolate MMF and detailed with colored buttercream and orange gum paste lettering.

I made this cake for a little boy who just couldn't make his mind up so we ended up with a Spiderman, Power Ranger, Batman Cake. This is a 13 x9 cake so I didn't have a lot of room for the bday msg so again I pulled out my scrapbook supplies and created the comic book like msg and attached them to lollipop sticks.

Head was RKT, body was 2-10" chocolate hazelnut cake, and arms were 1-8" chocolate marshmallow mocha cake. Neck was choc hazelnut 4" round, carved a bit. Covered in red BC (a whole jar plus of no taste red!) with black bc webs (from the Wilton tube). Eyes and spider were MMF. First time making this cake, and a BIG thanks to Lisa for her blogged instructions!

HA! HA! HA! This is my "Man-Faced" Wonder Woman cake!
Cake is obviously from an old character pan, but it was missing the part for the face, so
I kind of had to free-hand it. She looks a little Tranny-ish, but oh well...everyone liked her.
