I made this cake for my friends daughter who loves Hello Kitty. (Her name is Johna - obviously!) It was an 8' round French vanilla cake filled with strawberry mousse, iced in Swiss meringue buttercream, royal icing flowers and a buttercream transfer. Whew - that was a mouthful!

I made this cake for my daughter's birthday. Still haven't quite gotten where I can smooth out all of the cracks on the mmf without losing the shape I want, but I'm still happy with it.

I just love doing this cake for 1 and 2 year olds. I baked a rectangle cake and then cut out the shape. I then covered the cake in butter icing. I either pipe or spread the icing over the cake. The nose and eyes are winegums and the whiskers liquorice. The bow is made from modelling paste.

For this cake I used the idea posted by Cambo. Thanks! :-) It's an 8 inch round with the ears carved from a 6 inch and attached with icing. The bows on both Hello Kitty and the cupcakes are made from royal icing. Cake is Funfetti and the cupcakes are Cherry Chocolate Almond and Apple Spice. All icing is buttercream.

Fondant covered pound cake. I baked the pound cake in small metal spheres used for chocolate molds. I balanced the spheres on small cake rings placed on a cookie sheet. This small cake was placed on the top of a larger tiered buttercream cake with other fondant Hello Kitty characters surrounding it.

This was so much fun to make. It's for my DD's 10th birthday. The bottom colourful shading's I got from one of Collete's cakes. The Hello Kitty's are FBCT and there are 4 different ones. Butterflies are sugar, roses are chocolate. Peanut butter cake with cream cheese frosting and fondant. Thanks for looking.

for an adult that loves the character. butter cake with orange infused cream cheese/buttercream icing. the electricity went out in the middle of doing this cake, but i forged on, and am proud of the results. body and head of kitty is buttercream, airbrushed with luster dust and fondant pearls. mini cake is covered in marshmallow fondant and decorated to mimic the bottom tier.

This was a WASC with strawberry filling. MMF covering. I used the sports ball pan for the Teapot and the mini ball pan for the cups. I used wafer paper and printed the Hello Kitty onto it with edible ink. Believe it or not the cups and saucers were harder to do than the actual Teapot. But it was a great learing experience.
