Finally got to do it, and finally got the picture of it! Was for my best friend's wedding on July 1st. Cake looked great until topper fell off and smudged it all the way down. I tried to fix it while I was there, but the picture showed the imperfections. So I airbrushed some of them out ;-)

This is a 3 tier, heart shaped wedding cake. All white cake with bc icing. The topper was top heavy and an incredible pain to keep on top of the cake.

We have filled so many orders for this design. It is so popular amongst the little girls. This one is a really deep shade of pink and purple. THe frangipanis don't really match but she really wanted them included

I really like how this cake came out. The only direction the client gave me with this was that the wedding had silver accents, and they were getting married on valentines day, hence the hearts.

I had extra red royal icing and did not know what to do with it - so I made this dummy cake.

White almond sourcream cake with almond buttercream. Bride was my mothers friend so she had a more laid back attitude than most brides I've heard about. I'm very, very grateful that she allowed me to do her wedding seeing that it was my first cake order.

Made to go with wedding cake so it would feed 200 people. White almond sourcream cake with almond buttercream. Unfortunately by the time we left the cake still hadn't been cut and there were really about 100 people there. Good thing I supplied boxes for take home.

This is my first wedding cake: three heart-shaped tiers of chocolate mudcake iced in fondant with a navy blue ribbon border. The bottom tier says 'Today I married my bestfriend and soulmate'; the middle tier has the names of the couple's children; and the top tier is painted with gold lustre dust, with modelling paste hearts and royal ising initials.

This cake was actually for my friends birthday. I have two friends who have back to back birthdays, one who's a guy and the others a girl so I made two very different cakes. I had always wanted to do a basket weave so I did it on this, much easier on this small cake. The cake has a homemade raspberry jam filling and it's a buttercream frosting with chocolate cake.

This was a 3 Tier on columns...Wedding Cake. I used a heart Candy mold, and wilton White candy melts... with purple dye...to color it...and molded my own candy hearts that are used on the cake. There are silk Flowers and white pearl fillers on the layers, as well as around the Fountain that flows with Purple Water.

Purple swirled border to contrast with pink airbrushed buttercream accenting the edible image. Added glitter dust for the sparkle effect. Cake was vanilla with oreo cookie cream filling.

This is a strawberry cake with buttercream, MMF, and piping gel for the flowers. The bride really likes the colour red, and she likes cinnamon heart candies - which I used for the bottom border!

My first tiered cake! The top tier is lemon, the bottom tier is white. Unfortunately, with the 97 degree heat, my last class got cancelled and I had to decorate it at home.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the holidays! I bake for a whole day, then spend the next three of four having fun decorating. Once all the icing is mixed up, the fun can really start!

Made for a "tasteful" bachelorette party. This is a sheet cake cut to look like a pair of boxer shorts then iced smooth in buttercream. I imprinted hearts then filled with stars.

I first coated the cake with a thin layer of buttercream. Used a small heart cookie cutter to make impression of hearts. Entire cakes is done in Tip 16 star-tip......yes, I my hand hurt after that one. Luckily, it was only a 9" double layer.

This is the 3rd mini practice cake I made during the typhoon today. I froze these rosebuds from course 2 class the other day, just so I could use them for practice. I am very pleased with this cake. I had never done scrolls with thin icing before. I found out that my neighbor had her baby the other day, so I walked this one over to her with it in a coverered container. LOL. She was so thrilled. Thanks for looking!

I created this cake using 2 9x13 layers (side by side) and 1 small heart layer on top. It was my first time attempting to cover a cake with basketweave other than a circle. I started on the sides of the heart and worked my way into the middle. It got tricky when I got to the last couple weaves in the very center, but it was fine because I just covered the center with blue buttercream roses and leaves. Everything was decorated in buttercream icing and it presented well!

This was for my new son-in-law! He chose a tuxedo heart strawberry cake with a knife in the heart and strawberry gel as blood! It got mixed reviews, but most thought it was funny! It's covered in black and white MMF. The lapels were painted with gel to make them look like satin, but the photo doesn't show it well.

This cake was made to go along with the wedding and groom's cake, as several family member's are diabetic. It is Sugar Free, made from a Sweet n' Low cake mix (I substituted milk for the water called for on the box, and added 1/4 tsp. baking soda to the mix), it actually tasted pretty good! The Sn'L icing mix tasted NASTY, so the cake is iced in a VERY thin layer of chocolate buttercream!

This is my first heart shaped wedding cake, and it was not as difficult to ice as I feared it might be! It is for a very small wedding...the top tier is a 4", the middle a 6", and the bottom layer is only an 8" heart. The daisies are fondant, my first attempt at these flowers in fondant. I love this cake!
