This is the cake AFTER delivery. Recipient did the damage to side and bottom after I had left. She sent these pictures to me after she had placed the ring inside the box so I could see it.

This one was for a customer that wanted two cakes in one for a double birthday party. Tried my best for a baseball field for her son and a heart for her sister.

This cake was done for a bride who loved swans and pink. We found this cake in blue in a Wilton book. I explained to her that the blue was water, but she wanted it pink. All in all, pink and swans do mix, I guess. LOL

The inspiration for this cake was a clip art picture. I think the kids turned out cute! It was my first time using a picture as a template. I had a hard time deciding what to do with the rest of that huge sheet cake.

This was my first time to do a wedding cake. I did it as a favor to help out a lady at my husband's work. It turned out pretty, but there were some crumbs in the icing that I didn't notice until it was too late. I don't think they stood out to anyone else, though. I made the topper out of gumpaste and put super pearl and super gold dusts on it. All I see are the flaws when I look at it, but the ladies at the reception site thought it was gorgeous, so that made me feel better.

This was supposed to be a fondant tuxedo cake, but the fondant wouldn't cooperate for me, so it became a cream cheese buttercream tuxedo cake at the last minute. This wasn't my best work because I had about an hour to redo the whole cake and try to repair the damage the fondant did to the cake. I ended up having to redo the cake three times. Luckily, I knew the groom didn't care what the cake looked like as long as it was chocolate and had a tux on it. So...here's my first groom's cake..

Chocolate cake, chocolate syrup frosting, FBCT mouse. For a party at Chuck E. Cheese - I told the mother I couldn't do a copyrighted image, but I'd do a "cute mouse." Then I had to scramble to find an image of a cute mouse!!

Thank you to Denise2434 for the inspiration for this cake! My group of friends go to Hooters pretty much every Friday night and tonight we are going there for a close friends going away party. I figured what better cake to make! I used a 12" heart and the sports ball pan and then covered it all in fondant and painted the logo on with vodka and gel paste color.

This cake almost killed me, lol. My sister gave me 15 hours of a notice that she was getting married by a JP. I made this cake as a suprise and gift to her. fist time doing this kind of scroll work, my tilting turn table really came in handy. All buttercream, dragonfly wings are chocolate. My sister was very pleased to actually have a wedding cake on such short notice.

I actually did this cake for a tasting. Just a simple single 6" round - chocolate raspberry cake with a light raspberry french buttercream under MMF. I'm trying to get more experience with fondant, so this was perfect!

I did this cake for a male friend of mine and his husband's 2nd anniversary (they live in MA where same-sex marriages are legal) as a gift. And for more fondant practice. I was shooting for a more masculine look than flowers and didn't want to go with the obvious rainbow color scheme. They both loved it and were touched that I would give them a cake! :) Cake is choc raspberry with rasp BC under MMF (same batch as the round tasting cake).

2 layer 14" heart and 2 layer 12" heart, butter recipe with Chocolate icing.
The light pink heat on top was white chocolate poured into the med. heart shaped cookie cutter with the letter "A" also poured white chocolate, then heart was painted with Ivory Luster, giving it a very light pink look which matched the brides colors. The "A" was painted with gold Luster Dust.

Just another view of cake. Topper not yet added. I used the 5 swans, one for each decade. The ring box is their beginning, the 5 swans lead to the 50 years of golden joy.

Something simple and elegant with roses was requested. I got the design inspiration from boonenati and her amazing creation(s)!!! The hearts were to match the wedding invitations. Not perfect, but I didn't start baking anything until 8pm last night...so it was a late night and I was a little tired.

This was a white cake with white choc mousse and raspberry filling. They were all hearts with buttercream icing. I piped the scroll work freehand. I put wax paper under the ribbon so that the icing wouldn't stain it. Thanks for looking!
